The Western Republic was formed on the 28th of August, 2022, by Commo, who wanted to create a democratic republic-like alliance within Orbis.

Role in the decline of The Elites[]
After a period of restructuring and attempts to recover from the Weaponized Hooters split, The Elites became protectors of Western Republic. On December 2022, Western Republic stole money and resources from another alliance who then seeked an alliance with Camelot so that they could retrieve the funds by force. While technically not falling within the terms for protection stated in their protection agreement and despite reluctance from parts of the government, Greater Wessex agreed to help their new protectorate for a cut of the stolen goods, prompting Camelot to attack both the Western Republic and The Elites. After a few days in which the two alliances suffered numerous defeats, King Greater Wessex asked the leader of the Western Republic for 1,2B$ worth of resources to broker a peace and then tasked Mount Olympus as a diplomat to Camelot, achieving the peace but, allegedly, leaving their ally out of it. As a result, Western Republic attacked The Elites on Christmas day and peaced out with Camelot. At the same time the entire government of The Elites, alongside many of its most loyal members, left the alliance after accusing the King of being corrupt and betraying their ally. Some of these members even joined the Western Republic and their attack on The Elites.
Western Republic would work with The Fighting Pacifists to keep The Coven from attacking WR while they continued hostilities with The Elites up until their disbandment, under the protection of the Roman Empire.
