WTF is in the Media is an alliance war that started when The Media launched a mass raid on World Task Force. Church of Atom soon started countering The Media raiders as the conflict expanded, with nations from The Coal Mines and The Republic of Libertas also joining in later in the war.

Prior to the conflict, The Media had successfully raided GATO, pulling in a significant amount of loot as a result. The Media's leadership saw WTF as yet another easy target, though at least one member of its Board expressed his concerns that WTF would put up a strong fight and that another alliance would make a better target.

As for WTF, it had experienced in the months prior a mass raid by Knights Templar in which WTF put up serious resistance; participated in a lengthy war against Camelot as part of a coalition of alliances. It was therefore much better prepared militarily for a fight, with a substantial proportion of its members having extensive combat experience.

The Media's raid began on September 9th. Initially it did substantial monetary damages to WTF's peace time infrastructure, but WTF soon rallied and began countering. Assistance came within hours from CoA, who provided military advise, and eventually formally entered the conflict, countering The Media nations. Over the course of the war, additional aid came from other alliances. Some sent members to fight, others initiated spy attacks against The Media at the request of WTF.

Negotiations to end the conflict eventually occurred, but these initially proved futile as the two sides couldn't even agree on the nature of the conflict, with The Media still insisting it was still just a raid, whereas WTF and its allies considered it to be a full-scale alliance war and negotiated on that basis. The war continued.

By the second week of the conflict, the tide had turned in the war, and net damages were rapidly turning in favor of WTF's coalition. Peace negotiations were renewed, and The Media accepted WTF's conditions to end the conflict on September 23rd.

Following this conflict, Church of Atom would sign a MDoAP treaty with World Task Force.
