The USN was founded as a foil to the creation of [https://politicsandwar.fandom.com/wiki/The_Revolutionary_Front TRF]. When TRF was in the conception phase the old USRGC leadership was contacted by several concerned members of TRF that the new theme might become one based around imperialism and asked that the USRGC reform in order to preserve the theme. The leadership agreed to form a new alliance and called it the United Socialist Nations to support all leftist of Orbis. While some members of TRF fell out most did not and the USN entered a cold war period with TRF. Originally intended to be somewhat democratic with the USN under threat almost immediately after its creation and DarVolt gave Executive Order 1 which put it into a state of emergency to allowing for resources to be utilized effectively. These actions caused most of the random raiders to be defeated and the diplomatic process to begin of finding a protector.

Following various engagements with [https://politicsandwar.fandom.com/wiki/War_on_Socialism raiders] and pirates, Matrix reestablished contact with various old allies including Kosta of The Federation. Upon contacting Kosta and Matrix began the treaty process to get one signed while peace was still the status quo. The government of the USN is lead by the Premier of the USN. The Premier then appoints members to General and Commissar positions. Each General is head of his or her department and has commissars to aid them in their duties. The USN policy has always made a focus on foreign affairs and good economic performance.

After the valiant efforts of the Old Guard, the USN found [[New Pacific Order|The New Pacific Order]] as their protector. Under the protection of the NPO the USN was able to finally take a rest from the relentless raiders and finally focus on building itself up. With the tireless efforts of our Economy Department which comprised of Kenjii (aka Gyldenløve), Comrade Pepe, Shaman and mmm we were able to immensely grow the alliance. By the 29th of June 2019 the USN was ranked #33 in terms of score. During this time the USN was a member of NPO's [[Protectorate Treaty|Protectorate]] and [[Optional Defense Pact|ODoAP]] [[Bloc]], [[Galactic Concordance]].

The USN entered the war, [[NPO's Last Time]] on the side of Coalition B when it's member, The People's Republic of Zhonganhai was suddenly and deliberately attacked by the KERCHTOG forces on the 29th of June 2019. Promptly after the USN entered the war, she attacked the member nations of [[Valinor]] and the other KERCHTOG alliances were also attacked in a calculated series of attacks.

DarVolt quickly appointed [[Communist State Of Asia|Ravindhu]], the USN's Recruitment-General, as the new Commandant-General. Despite these losses, the USN went on with Swamp to achieve victory in the war.

When the [[Knights Templar]] began raids on [[The Lost Empire]], the USN fought back with the rest of the Swamp in the [[KT-Swamp War|war]] that followed. 8 days later, after eliminating KT's conventional military, the USN withdrew from the war along with the rest of the Swamp.

Following the events of the Last Ride, [[The Commonwealth]] and [[Farkistan]] - who the USN still had [[Mutual Defense and Optional Aggression Pact|MDoAP]] treaties with - joined with [[The Ampersand (1st)|Ampersand]], [[Weebunism]], [[Camelot]] and [[Aurora]] to form [[Mystery Inc|Mystery Inc.]] This resulted in the USN being an M-level ally of Mystery. The initial time of peace, following the Last Ride, in Mystery saw the best economic growth in the USN's history thus far.

On the 19th of September 2021, the USN joined with [[Aurora]], [[Weebunism]] and [[Independent Republic of Orange Nations]] for a [[The Clone Wars|training exercise]] against [[Union of Soviet Socialist Republics|the USSR]]'s protectorates. The targets were [[The Nobel Federation]], [[Pacific Federal Union]] and [[The Axsis]]. The USN welcomed [[Prima Victoria]] when they soon joined the training. The USN fought hard in the short 5 turn battle with the USSR and then took advantage of the newly added targets, [[The 4th World Federation]], [[House of Tragedy]] and [[milk]] to give their comrades even more training. The training officially ended 11 days after it began as a victory for the USN and it's allies.

[[Mystery Inc]] officially rebranded to Haunted Mansion on the 5th of February, 2022. This time around the USN was a founding member alongside [[Farkistan]], [[United Purple Nations]] and [[The Federation]].

When [[The Fear]], [[Oblivion (2nd)|Oblivion]], and [[Raccoon 404]] raided [[Farkistan]] on February 6th and then [[United Purple Nations]] on the 9th the USN assisted in the [[Pixelhugger's Nightmare|following conflict]]. The USN and the rest of Haunted Mansion fought valiantly where possible but took significant damages in the process. 11 days later on the 20th the conflict would come to an end with a white peace.

The Comrades of the USN fought long and hard in this conflict, however despite these efforts the sheer numbers advantage of the Johnsons was overwhelming and so the USN and Haunted Mansion addmited defeat 23 days later on April 20th.

Shortly after on June 12th the Haunted Mansion was [[Phasmophobia|suddenly attacked]] by [[The Hand of Fate]] who had recently left [[Clock]] and gone paperless. This attack was so sudden that only a couple Comrades of the USN were militarised when it began. This conflict would only last 4 days, after which tHoF would turn their attention to raiding [[Johnsons]] after seemingly using the war against Haunted Mansion to burn their [[infrastructure]].

===The Post-Haunted Era===

Following the USN's exit from [[Haunted Mansion]] on August 6th, they would sign an [[MDoAP]] with [[The Commonwealth]] to become a part of [[The Back Room]] sphere. This period saw extreme growth and recovery from the many wars and raids of the Haunted Mansion era.

On November 11th 2022 Midgard and [[The Commonwealth]] declared [[Bifröst Blitz|war]] on [[Withheld]]. The USN would join in to attack Withheld in the following hours. This war would expand to include [[Cataclysm]] and [[Paradise]] on Withheld's side and [[Eclipse]] on Midgard's. Withheld surrendered to the combined Midgard forces on January 4th 2023.

Following the departure of Comrade Councillor Will on the 10th of August, Comrade Councillor Ultraodan was appointed to the position of Commandant-Councillor in the interim. Shortly afterwards on the 21st, the Charter of the USN was amended to allow for more than two Vanguards and simultaneously Comrade Councillor Mmm was appointed to the position of Vanguard. This came after him being a Councillor for over four years across the departments of Economics and Technology.

The United Socialist Nations is a rebranded Marxist-Leninist-DarVoltist alliance rising from the ashes of the USRGC. Reformed on May Day 2018, the old commanders from the USRGC, which had scattered since the Knights Templar raids, received a petition from old members to reform the alliance under a new command structure and a new name. The scattered commanders heard the call and regathered their forces to once again play on Orbis's world stage. The USN now pushes to work with all communist and socialist alliances on Orbis.

History

Early Days

The USN was founded as a foil to the creation of The Revolutionary Front. While TRF was in the conception phase, the old USRGC leadership was contacted by several concerned members of The Communist International that the new theme might become based around imperialism. As a result, they asked that the USRGC reform in order to preserve the socialist theme. The leadership agreed to form a new alliance and called it the United Socialist Nations to support all leftist of Orbis. While some members of TRF did fall out most did not, and the USN entered a cold war period with TRF. Originally intended to be somewhat democratic, the USN became under threat almost immediately after its creation which resulted in DarVolt giving Executive Order 1 putting the government into a state of emergency allowing for resources to be utilized effectively. These actions caused most of the random raiders to be defeated and the diplomatic process of finding a protector to begin.

The NPO Era

After the valiant efforts of the Old Guard, the USN found The New Pacific Order as their protector. Under the protection of the NPO the USN was able to finally take a rest from the relentless raiders and finally focus on building itself up. With the tireless efforts of our Economy Department which comprised of Kenjii (aka Gyldenløve), Comrade Pepe, Shaman and mmm we were able to immensely grow the alliance. By the 29th of June 2019 the USN was ranked #33 in terms of score. During this time the USN was a member of NPO's Protectorate and ODoAP Bloc, Galactic Concordance.

The USN entered the war, NPO's Last Time on the side of Coalition B when it's member, The People's Republic of Zhonganhai was suddenly and deliberately attacked by the KERCHTOG forces on the 29th of June 2019. Promptly after the USN entered the war, she attacked the member nations of Valinor and the other KERCHTOG alliances were also attacked in a calculated series of attacks.

The USN also became involved in The Great Leak War on the 6th of January 2020 as it's indirect ally, The Galactic Empire, was attacked by The Manhattan Cartel, North Point and their allies.

The USN and it's members tirelessly fought against the KERCHTOG forces and their allies until she declared a white peace on the 09th of February 2020, 226 days after she entered the war.

The Swamp Era

Following the white peace in NPO's Last Time and the Great Leak War, the USN was cut loose from NPO's stranglehold. After various engagements with GPC, Raiders, and pirates, Matrix re-established contact with various old allies including Kosta of The Federation. Upon meeting, both Kosta and Matrix began the treaty process to get one signed while peace was still the status quo. After a short period of time, the Federation - USN treaty was signed which brought the USN into the extended Swamp sphere. The USN, now secured, began another growth period organized by Ravindu and Mmm resulting in a significant jump in score and closening of ties inside the Swamp.

When The Coal Miners began their raids on The Immortals, the USN was in full support of the Swamp's action and assisted in the war that followed. During the conflict, the Assyrian Empire and The Knights of the Blood Oath, formerly protectorates of TCM, signed on with the growing USN for protection.

When the Swamp declared war on The Covenant over The Commonwealth's actions, the USN fully supported the Swamp and fought along side them in the war. At the end of the war, only 10 days later, the USN joined the Swamp and Hedge Money Accords on the winning side and signed the NAP. Shortly after the peace, on the 20th of September 2020, the USN was admitted as a full member of the Swamp.

When the Swamp, now including the USN, declared war on Quack Sphere, the USN fought hard against Quack. This would be the 2nd largest war the USN fights in to date. On the 7th of December, in the middle of the war, The Immortals and The Fighting Pacifists were removed from the Swamp by the other members. Just 5 days later on the 12th of December, the USN suffered another loss, the USN's Commandant-Generals Beefnugget and Nikola simultaneously resigned from their positions and left the alliance with no warning following a single disagreement in government. DarVolt quickly appointed Ravindhu, the USN's Recruitment-General, as the new Commandant-General. Despite these losses, the USN went on with Swamp to achieve victory in the war.

When the Knights Templar began raids on The Lost Empire, the USN fought back with the rest of the Swamp in the war that followed. 8 days later, after eliminating KT's conventional military, the USN withdrew from the war along with the rest of the Swamp.

On the 31st of April 2021, following leaks from Swamp leadership channels, the Executive Council of the USN reached a difficult decision to activate the Swamp treaty's exit clause. At the same time, the Executive Council decided to follow the Commonwealth diplomatically. Just 2 days later, Quack blitzed the Swamp included alliances who had activated the cancellation clause. While the comrades of the USN fought as hard and fast as possible, it was inevitable that The Last Ride ended in a humiliating defeat for the remnants of the Swamp.

The Mystery Inc. Era

Following the events of the Last Ride, The Commonwealth and Farkistan - who the USN still had MDoAP treaties with - joined with Ampersand, Weebunism, Camelot and Aurora to form Mystery Inc. This resulted in the USN being an M-level ally of Mystery. The initial time of peace, following the Last Ride, in Mystery saw the best economic growth in the USN's history thus far.

On the 19th of September 2021, the USN joined with Aurora, Weebunism and Independent Republic of Orange Nations for a training exercise against the USSR's protectorates. The targets were The Nobel Federation, Pacific Federal Union and The Axsis. The USN welcomed Prima Victoria when they soon joined the training. The USN fought hard in the short 5 turn battle with the USSR and then took advantage of the newly added targets, The 4th World Federation, House of Tragedy and milk to give their comrades even more training. The training officially ended 11 days after it began as a victory for the USN and it's allies.

In the following few months the United Commerce Republic, The Monarchy and The Meat Men would all sign on as protectorates of the growing USN. All three protectorates would grow alongside the USN and grow tremendously from their sizes before signing with the USN.

Following the Clock - Mystery Inc. split the USN stood firmly with their close allies in Mystery. On the 11th of December 2021 when MysOasis (Mystery and Oasis) was blitzed by Clock and BlackWater sparking Armenia's Revenge, the USN fought hard and fast alongside their MysOasis allies until the conclusion of the war only 8 days later on the 19th. The war ended with separate white peace treaties with Clock and Blackwater. Notably, this was also the first war in which one the USN's protectorates fought alongside them in the war with UCR enacting the optional article to defend the USN and honouring their MDP treaties with The Dominion and The United Armies.

On January 11th, 2022, the USN was admitted as a full member of Mystery Inc without a public announcement. 5 days later on the 16th United Purple Nations, Dark Brotherhood and The Federation left Oasis and also became full members of Mystery, this reunited the USN will their old allies in The Federation. Simultaneously The Commonwealth gave their 72 hours cancelation notice to Mystery. That announcement can be read here. Shortly afterwards Dark Brotherhood was privately removed from Mystery.

On January 21st, Global Alliance & Treaty Organization left Mystery Inc. 10 days later on the 31st The Ampersand merged with IKEA to form Bourbon Street leaving Mystery Inc. At this point Mystery consisted of the USN, Farkistan, United Purple Nations and The Federation.

On February 5th, 2022, Mystery Inc rebranded to Haunted Mansion exactly 9 months after being founded. This disbanded Mystery and put an end to the Mystery Inc era for the USN.

The Haunted Mansion Era

Mystery Inc officially rebranded to Haunted Mansion on the 5th of February, 2022. This time around the USN was a founding member alongside Farkistan, United Purple Nations and The Federation.

When The Fear, Oblivion, and Raccoon 404 raided Farkistan on February 6th and then United Purple Nations on the 9th the USN assisted in the following conflict. The USN and the rest of Haunted Mansion fought valiantly where possible but took significant damages in the process. 11 days later on the 20th the conflict would come to an end with a white peace.

On March 19th 2022, Johnsons blitzed the USN and Haunted Mansion at large beginning Ghostbusters. The Comrades of the USN fought long and hard in this conflict, however despite these efforts the sheer numbers advantage of the Johnsons was overwhelming and so the USN and Haunted Mansion addmited defeat 23 days later on April 20th.

Shortly after the war the USN officially welcomed both Los Pollos Hermanos and Polaris to Haunted Mansion. LPH had joined just before the war however this was the first opportunity to announce it.

On June 4th 2022 the USN publicly unveiled its first ever Pride Flag. The result of a design competition the winning design was from Comrade Organiser Ghastdian.

Shortly after on June 12th the Haunted Mansion was suddenly attacked by The Hand of Fate who had recently left Clock and gone paperless. This attack was so sudden that only a couple Comrades of the USN were militarised when it began. This conflict would only last 4 days, after which tHoF would turn their attention to raiding Johnsons after seemingly using the war against Haunted Mansion to burn their infrastructure.

On July 19th, Polaris officially gave their 72 hours cancelation notice to the Haunted Mansion. They would go on to sign an MDoAP with The Commonwealth. A couple weeks later United Purple Nations would leave the bloc on August 5th to form Midgard. The next day, on August 6th, the USN would officially leave the Haunted Mansion and sign an MDoAP treaty with The Commonwealth to reunite with their old allies and become allied to The Back Room. The USN would also maintain their MDP with Genesis as well as their protectorate with United Commerce Republic.

The Post-Haunted Era

Following the USN's exit from Haunted Mansion on August 6th, they would sign an MDoAP with The Commonwealth to become a part of The Back Room sphere. This period saw extreme growth and recovery from the many wars and raids of the Haunted Mansion era.

Shortly after becoming a part of tBR sphere, the USN temporarily cut their MDP with Genesis. This treaty was re-established shortly afterwards on September 1st, 2022.

The USN held an ODP treaty with The Galactic Empire (2nd), a protectorate of tCW, for a short time before TGE's exist from the sphere.

On October 4th, 2022, tCW and Bourbon Street gave the 72 hours cancelation notice for their treaty effectively dissolving the Back Room bloc. Following this tCW and the USN would join the larger Midgard sphere.

The Midgard Era

On November 11th 2022 Midgard and The Commonwealth declared war on Withheld. The USN would join in to attack Withheld in the following hours. This war would expand to include Cataclysm and Paradise on Withheld's side and Eclipse on Midgard's. Withheld surrendered to the combined Midgard forces on January 4th 2023.

On January 26th, tCW merged with Farkistan to form Legion of Dawn. The USN continued its MDoAP with the new alliance.

When Aurora was removed from Midgard and Ragnarök began, the USN fought valiantly alongside its Midgard allies. At this same time the USN signed a MDP with old ally and Midgard member United Purple Nations. Eventually the war came to white peace on May 8th. Shortly afterwards, Legion of Dawn left Midgard. This time the USN decided to stay with Midgard rather than continue alongside LoD.

On the 6th of July, the USN adopted a new flag design by Comrade Director-Councillor Ghastdian.

Following the departure of Comrade Councillor Will on the 10th of August, Comrade Councillor Ultraodan was appointed to the position of Commandant-Councillor in the interim. Shortly afterwards on the 21st, the Charter of the USN was amended to allow for more than two Vanguards and simultaneously Comrade Councillor Mmm was appointed to the position of Vanguard. This came after him being a Councillor for over four years across the departments of Economics and Technology.

Government

The government of the USN is lead by the Vanguards of the USN. The Vanguards then appoints members to Councillor and Organiser positions. Each Councillor is head of their department and has Organisers to aid them in their duties. The USN policy has always made a focus on foreign affairs and good economic performance, a result of the command economic principles followed by the alliance.
