History[]
The Kingdom of the United Dogoist Federation, commonly referred to as UDF, was founded on April 4, 2021. It was established by King Rosen Rangelov, who passed away on November 25, 2079 and was succeeded by his eldest son, King Martin Rangelov I. The UDF is comprised of 13 federations located in the Florida region and is governed by a centralized and stabilized government.
The process of unification began when King Rosen Rangelov became a prominent figure in the political landscape after creating his own political party, known as the "United Regime". He won the election and became the head of the federations, although his powers were limited and he was seen more as a symbol than a leader. King Rosen Rangelov had many ambitious plans, but his most significant goal was to unite the 13 federations under one government, leader, culture, religion, and land. To achieve this, he embarked on a series of "Great Talks" where he traveled between the federations, learning about their history, and winning the trust of the public and the federation leaders.
King Rosen Rangelov was the first democratically elected king in the history of the federations and won with an absolute majority in public and government elections. He established the "Constitution Committee" with the task of writing a functional constitution that would eliminate any loopholes and ensure equal treatment for all citizens under the law. The writing of the constitution took 93 days, and it was approved by the public and government officials a week later. The new government was comprised of several branches, including the High Court, The Supreme Court, The High Council and the Assembly
The constitution also required King Rosen Rangelov to be politically neutral and to disband his political party to maintain stability.
King Rosen Rangelov made many positive changes in the country and led it to success economically, morally, and legally. However, all good things must come to an end, and King Rosen Rangelov passed away from lung cancer. The nation mourned his loss, and according to the constitution, his eldest son, Martin Rangelov, became the new king. King Martin Rangelov made his first public appearance on November 30, 2079, at his father's funeral and called for the government to resume their work a week later. The actions of King Martin Rangelov have yet to be seen.
Politics and Responsibilities[]
The Monarch[]
In all cases, the monarch is a king or queen and the title is bound to remain within a particular family, currently the Rangelovs. Upon the death of a monarch, his or her eldest child takes their place. If the monarch has no children, the title goes back up a generation, and so on. The monarch's powers are limited by the constitution, which requires them to be politically neutral. There is no term limit for a monarch; they have the option to abdicate if they choose, but in general, the title remains with them until death.
High Court[]
The High Court consists of 3 members who are unknown to the public and the government. Refered as the "King's Lawmakers" as they are hand-picked by the Monarch. The High Court has the power to give advice to the Supreme Court and the National Council, as well as to dissolve the Supreme Court and the Assembly with a unanimous decision from all three judges if the situation calls for it. The High Court can legally review and decide any court case, especially those threatening the existence of the UDF and high-profile cases [High ranking government officials, diplomats, etc.]. The High Court term per judge isn't limited and the members have the right to leave at any time without revealing themselves to the public. However, the judges can be impeached by the King with a valid reason and the Court can be suspended for a set period of time by the King with a valid reason.
Supreme Court[]
The Supreme Court consists of 7 members who are known to the public. In order to become a Supreme Court Judge, one needs to obtain at least a 2/3 approval in an Assembly. Their powers grants them the right to write and change the UDF Constitution with a 2/3 vote in the Assembly and in the National Council, The High Court can halt these changes if deemed necessary. The Supreme Court is the highest court of appeal and decides cases that have significant legal or societal implications. The Supreme Court term per judge is limited to 8 years.
National Council[]
The National Council is consisted of 13 members of the Federation, known to the public. The National Council members are usually appointed after a special election by people after a proposal by The High Court or The Monarch. That special election is held a week after a National Council Member leaves or is voted out of office by the people or the Monarch. The National Council can be tasked with monitoring and reviewing the actions of the government to ensure that they are in line with the goals of the UDF and the will of the people. This would involve regular reports and analysis of government actions, as well as recommendations for improvements or changes as needed. The National Council's term is limited to 4 years, but can be increased to 8 years for specific members if that's the public's will.
Prime Minister[]
The Prime Minister is a member of a political party in the Assembly, chosen by the public through a democratic vote. The Prime Minister's powers include forming a cabinet, signing assembly proposals, and consulting with the monarch every Friday to discuss the economic, foreign, and political state of the nation. The Prime Minister's term is limited to 4 years.
Assembly[]
The National Assembly is consisted of 210 MA's [Members of the Assembly]. They represent a specific political party out of the 3 there is. Currently: Conservative Party, Moderate Party, Liberal Party. Each party holds 70 seats in the Assembly. They have the right to pass and vote on bills in order to help the people and the nation's economy. If necessary order a vote of no confidence in the Prime Minister and if it passes with a 2/3 majority, the Monarch has the right to remove a Prime Minister before his term ends. They don't have an official term, as their parties decide for how long they stay.
