The Rum War (unofficial title) is an ongoing conflict that began on January 16 2016 when the forces of Mensa HQ, Guardian and Seven Kingdoms declared war on Arrgh.
Background
Tension between Arrgh and the rest of Orbis had been rising due to Arrgh's status as a raiding alliance. This reached a peak when a group of members broke off from Arrgh, forming the Political Pirates and attacking Guardian. In response to Arrgh's raids on allies and allegations that the Political Pirates were ordered by Arrgh to attack Guardian, a coalition of Mensa, Guardian, and the Seven Kingdoms declared war on the 16th of January.
The main points of the Casus Belli from attacking side are:
- Arrgh raiding without a CB, thus no alliance needs a CB to attack Arrgh
- The Political Pirates attacking Guardian
- Allegations that Arrgh ordered PP to attack Guardian
- That PP sent a large portion of their alliance bank to Arrgh for safekeeping. Although the money has since been sent back, various Mensa members claim this action involved Arrgh in the conflict.
