The Purple Spy War was a conflict that began on the 31st March 2016 when Arrgh launched a mass unannounced attack on the United Purple Nations in retaliation for spy attacks by UPN members on Arrgh nations for the week prior to the war. UPN would later recognize hostilities with Arrgh along with The Dutch East India Company while the North American Confederacy began attacking without any announcement. After two weeks of war, Arrgh agreed to UPN's terms of not raiding them or their allies (particularly DEIC, NAC, the Viridian Entente, Polaris, and Rose) for one year. This term was later voided as part of each of aforementioned alliance's surrender in NPO's First Time ♥.

Background[]

In the weeks prior to the war, Arrgh had launched numerous raids and was involved in wars with various UPN allies including the North American Confederacy and the Dutch East India Company. After being mass raided for over two weeks, around half of the members of the Dutch East India Company moved to the United Purple Nations alliance affiliation and began launching spy attacks on Arrgh. This along with intel that UPN was gearing up to attack Arrgh, led to Arrgh's preemptive strike against UPN. UPN leadership later claimed that the spy attacks were not officially sanctioned by UPN government nor were they planning on launching an attack on Arrgh.
