Pubstomper is a leader that joined during the alpha version of the game. He initially joined with classmates from high school and they eventually created an alliance mostly of their friends called The Corn Shuckers. Pubstomper was the most active on forums, and the in-game leader of the Corn Shuckers.
The Corn Shuckers outgrew its sentiment of being the underdog as the players started to grow and recruit other talented leaders into the alliance. Pubstomper and his colleagues in The Corn Shuckers rebranded to The Atlas Confederacy just before they entered the speed beta phase of the game.
Pubstomper was the leader of The Atlas Confederacy during what many consider to be the first major war of the game, TAC war. Coming out of this war with a loss on the battlefield but a big victory in the public eye, Pubstomper rebranded his alliance once again to be called Rose. This was under the inspiration of many peers he worked with, who had previously worked together in an alliance called Empire of the Rose from Pixel Nations. Rose has been the alliance most tied to Pubstomper since it's creation, and the one he has most frequently been found located in over the years.
Sometime in early 2015 Pubstomper was invited to create a new alliance with Thulium, an unknown name but he was a reroll of a more prolific player from another planet. The new alliance was called World Wrestling Federation (WWF), it was a startup of a few active players from the Mushroom Kingdom community. Their boards were shared on the same domain as MK. While the ambition for this project was high, most the initial leadership had waning interest other than one notably infinite_citadel. Pubstomper left and eventually would end up back in Rose to lead for another time.
While in Rose again Pubstomper started off working under Keegoz's leadership. However, this quickly changed after Keegoz was busy most of the summer and Pubstomper negotiated the Paragon bloc with The Syndicate and Viridian Entente. There was a big rivalry between the leader of Mensa HQ, Pfeiffer, and Pubstomper during this time. After two lost wars with this second time leading, Pubstomper retired for good. His war plans always seemed to get leaked, and he had run tired of dealing with rivalries.
Pubstompers first nation was lost, due to his inactivity for too long sometime in 2016. His official resignation from Rose was February 15th, and he would not be seen again until a new nation was created on November 28th. He did not tell anyone who he was for a long time, and used the name Alkaline. Alkaline started off in Black Knights but as time went on he quickly grew bored and went back to Rose for a while, and eventually did reveal himself as Pubstomper. His original nation ID was 2142, while his new one is 54200.
In 2018, Pubstomper was invited by Sketchy to join his to be announced alliance, The Golden Horde. Pubstomper joined pretty quickly and found himself as a government advisor in the Golden Horde around the time they officially launched their first iteration. He stayed here until the end of NPO's Last Time, at which point, Buorhann - the glue that held the alliance together through this seemingly endless war of attrition - announced he was going to be disbanding TGH as he did not prioritize training a successor and was exhausted from the war. Admirable, but it sealed Pubstompers fate for the next several years as well.
From the end of NPOLT until June of 2023 Pubstomper was in Rose and relatively unseen on forums and discord. He was reached out to by a reroll of a player who used to go by the name of Spectre, Spectre was in the original group that helped plan Rose from The Atlas Confederacy. This reroll invited Pubstomper go join a new, for fun, high tier raiding alliance with him to help get it going - and Pubstomper agreed thereby joining The Media at its creation. The Media was a very ambitious alliance but the figure head of the project, Kev, became too busy with obligation in the real world and was no longer able to commit being active. Sadly, the alliance entirely fizzled out along with his activity and merged into another alliance called Dark Brotherhood.
At this time it was clear that Pubstomper was years removed from what he knew as home, he had been idle for years and come back to play "leapfrog around alliances". It was someone pointing this out to him that gave him the motivation to create a new home, just as he had before. This is the series of events that pushed him to join with Roberts and help create The Sword Coast, being the draft writer of the charter and one of the founding department heads. The first titled position of government held since Rose in 2016.
