The Prusso Roman Imperial Union is an alliance based off of Roman and German themes and styles of governance, formed as an alliance between the Nationstates regions of the Roman Byzantine Union and New Saxony.
History[]
Early History[]
The PRIU stared as an offshoot of the NS region known as the Roman Byzantine Union. Within the first few months of its creation, it merged within P&W with another NS region known as Bunicken, renaming to be known as the Prusso Roman Imperial Union. After the death of Sandraudiga (may she rest in peace), a prominent leader in Bunicken and major advocate for P&W expansion, this merger fell apart. The RBU section of the PRIU then went to merge with yet another NS region, New Saxony, which is still in effect today. During this time, the PRIU became a protectorate of The United Armies in order to prevent raiders from hindering growth.
Later History[]
The PRIU, from October 2020 to May 2021, was primarily focused on internal growth with the occasional counter over of raiders. In early March of 2021, Aurora demanded that the PRIU leave the Purple Trade Bloc so they could gain more benefit from being in it. The PRIU, having been in the bloc since its creation, refused to change colors. This led to increased tensions with Aurora, who then eventually backed down, leaving the status quo. In late April, as a protectorate of the United Armies, the PRIU would join the new TaskForce Delta bloc. Soon after, it would join the Hedge-Delta War, doing somewhat well in the overall fighting. Due to frustrations with Taskforce Delta's competency during the war, the PRIU would renounce its protectorate with TUA and become a protectorate of Children of the Light, an alliance within the Hedge Sphere
End[]
After largely remaining dormant for months (including during CoTL's reformation into Cataclysm), the PRIU would go on to merge with another alliance, the Eastern Roman Empire, to form the Empire of the Romans under The Knights Radiant's protection
Refounding[]
After a falling out between Justinian and Palsada in the Empire of the Romans (more about that here) the Prusso Roman imperial Union was refounded on January 9th 2022. After brief stints being protected by Aurora and Camelot, it has found its way to The Coven. It has recently been close to entering the top 50 alliances after bringing in most former OMAIN alliance members after their disbanding.
