Protectorate Treaty

A protectorate treaty is an agreement from a large alliance to defend a smaller one from any acts of aggression. It differs from a Mutual Defense Pact in that the larger alliance does not generally require help from the smaller one in the event the larger alliance is attacked. The specifics of protectorate treaties can differ in the amount of control exerted by the larger partner upon the other.
