The Orbis Peace Organization is a purple team alliance founded by Andaq, Bedland Order, Holy American Empire and Old America, none of which are currently members.

OPO as a whole is a direct democracy with very high levels of political participation, something the alliance is very proud of. Most members value liberal democracies/republics, though there are a few exceptions; the Holy American Empire is an empire with a constitutional monarchy, while Yeetybois Empire is a right-wing theocracy and Hepingguon Dynasty is an authoritarian reigime. Despite ideological differences, however, these nations have been able to integrate peacefully into the alliance. OPO employs a progression system whereby nations are qualified to run for certain positions based on previous experience in lower positions relating to that field. The current Head Officer of OPO is Dishiestglobe. Another thing the alliance is known for is its aggressive recruitment tactic- most members joined after wars with older members. Yeetybois Empire is a nation particularly fond of this tactic.
History[]
Founding and early days[]
OPO originated sometime in the mid 2080s as a RP alliance among the nations of Andaq, Bedland Order, Holy American Empire, and Old America. Eventually, it was established as an official alliance by Jackson Bell III of Old America. Around this time, the legendary OPO-OUN war occurred in which the old RP OPO was disbanded forcibly, though the actual OPO remained. 2 early wars include the 1st OPO-High Table war and the OPO-NATO war. At some point, a member state called MI-Landing went to war with a nation called New Slavic Federation. This is how New Slavic Federation joined the alliance and may have been the beginning of the "Aggressive Recruitment" tactic. The tactic really took off after the MILanding-Yeetybois war; the long, destructive war ended in a truce. This was followed by the Lucas/Canada war, in which MI-Landing assisted Yeetybois Empire in war with the nations of Lucas Dynasty and new Canada 1. Following this war, Yeetybois Empire officially joined OPO, and the "aggressive recruitment" campaign really took off.
Expansion period[]
Eventually, the nations of Rakosmente, The Nation of Cheese, and Poltranat would be inducted after war with the Yeetybois Empire, and the union of antarctic states (a previous contact of Meefy's) also joined peacefully. During this time of growth, OPO flourished and its fame began to grow among alliances of similar size. Several signifigant wars were fought; these include the rouge-state Gupta and Hartke wars, the Globglogabgalab-OPO War (an inter-alliance war) and the 2nd OPO-High Table War (AKA the OPO-Encounter War). Next came the Shizo War/Defense of Poltranat, where virtually the entire alliance banded together to absolutely smash a rouge state that had attacked a member; the defeated nation's leader deleted his state afterwards for reasons not fully known (though they can be guessed at). Following this, however, came the OPO crisis.
June 2023 OPO crisis[]
Towards the end of the Shizo war, Yeetybois Empire, after successfuly blockading Shizo so that the others could defeat it, went inactive for a week, signing a peace with Shizo (Shizo was already weakened enough by the blockade for the alliance to win). Following this, Jackson Bell III, who had just begun his next term as president, was forced by outside forces to leave P&W. This plunged OPO into crisis; newly elected 2nd in Command Kant rose to Head Officer, _Stalin_ of _Soviet Union_ became 2nd in command; however, Stalin also left and deleted his nation, forcing the crisis to continue; however, by this point the Hepingguon Dynasty led by Jackson Bell III's brother had joined the alliance and assumed _Stalin_'s place, and Yeetybois Empire returned to an active state after a week of absence.
OPO resurgence[]
Eventually, OPO regained its footing and became much more active on the inter-alliance scene. The resurgence was briefly halted after the disastrous OPO-Dark Brotherhood war, but resumed when the founder rejoined the alliance as Jackson Bell IV. The alliance peaked in this time with around 20 people and a score in the top 100 alliances.
July 2023 OPO revolution[]
As per usual, in mid-late July OPO started an election. The election itself was nothing abnormal; Kant, Jackson Bell IV, and Catadognic all ran for election to Head Officer, Meefy son of Mofey and President Mishalov (username, not Head Officer of OPO) ran for 2nd in command, Clownz ran for Head of Military Affairs unopposed, and Qua Delok ran for head of foreign affairs unopposed. Turnout was around 50% of the pre-election membership. Initially, the Head Officer race was balanced, a 3-way tie, but then a member switched his vote from Catadognic to Jackson Bell. Slowly, people began to switch votes towards Jackson Bell, Kant withdrew from the race, and by the end, Jackson Bell won in a landslide victory. Meefy son of Mofey also won re-election to 2iC by a similar margin, and both Clownz and Qua Delok had run for their positions unopposed. However, after being inaugurated. Jackson Bell reversed many of Kant's policies, including the policy that the leader should pay the highest taxes of all. The accumulation of these factors caused many players to secede from OPO, forming multiple splinter alliances. Seeing OPO unraveling literally overnight, Meefy staged a coup, putting himself as Head Officer, Jackson Bell as a Senior Officer, and inviting the breakaways to rejoin. For a brief time OPO constinued to splinter but by the next day Meefy had managed to take control of and stabilize the situation, and OPO began the road to recovery. However, it was rocky; Jackson Bell soon left, and OPO went through a revolving door of constitutions.
OPO August Golden Age (Age of Unity)[]
Eventually, OPO began to recover for real, rocketing upwards in score. This was not even signifigantly interrupted by events such as the secession of MoO or the 3rd OPO-High Table war. It peaked with a short-lived merger alliance known as the Age of Unity; OPO absorbed FAO, one of the largest splinter alliances. However, OPO's participation in The Nautical Raid was the last great act of the Age of Unity. After this, fighting between government officials Kant and Catadognic spiralled out of control.
OPO Civil War and August Dark Days[]
The OPO civil war began when Meefy, then still HO, went on an extended vacation, leaving 3iC Kant in charge of the alliance (Mishalov, then 2iC, being absent as well). Kant had long suspected Catadognic of hunger for power, and after Catadognic made extensive edits to the alliance homepage and alliance permissions, Kant declared him to be attempting a coup, expelled him from the alliance, and declared war. The OPO civil war itself was quite brief, as TSKY, MoO, and DEP intervened diplomatically to stop the fighting, but the damage was done. Kant also left OPO afterwards, mistaking a brief check-in by Meefy as the latter's full return, leaving the alliance without an active leader. One by one, members began to leave OPO, eventually stripping it down to about 1/3 of its score and leaving it with only 2 active government members. In the midst of the chaos, Meefy returned, and began to pick up the shattered pieces, inviting people to rejoin OPO. Some did, such as Catadognic and Dishiestglobe, who were swiftly inducted into the shattered government, while others, such as Rakosmente and Faisal al Abbas (head of the new splinter alliance NPU) expressed interest. Nonetheless, OPO had lost many members, mainly to the splinters NPU, DEP, and NoN (which had grown even larger than OPO at its peak). OPO managed to build up to about half of its pre-Dark age score at one point, but continued to stagnate and periodically slip all the way until early November, when it finally began to recover. The disastrous Maurya war occured at this time.
Recovery at last[]
In October of 2023, OPO finally began to truly recover; the alliance participated in The Aqua War as part of the nano coalition and profited greatly from it. In early December, TSKY finally merged into OPO, boosting the alliance's score back up to near pre-civil war levels. The OPO continued to grow, eventually surpassing its previous maximum score in early January 2024. However, a purge of inactives led to a brief score dip, followed shortly by the OPO-Templar war.
March reforms/Antarctica protector treaty[]
In March of 2024, Catadognic resigned as Head Officer of the OPO. As a result of being Second in Command, Dishiestglobe of Corvia assumed the position of Head Officer. Once he was officially the Head Officer, Dishiestglobe re-instated the democratic government that was originally disbanded. Dishiestglobe would also establish closer ties with the OPO's allies by establishing embassies with them for more effective communications. On the 4th of April, the OPO and Antarctica Alliance agreed to form a protectorate treaty that would officially make the OPO a protectorate of AA.
Conflicts[]
Early wars[]
OPO engaged in quite a few early wars; however, little is known about them. OPO's 1st major war appears to have been the OPO-UCR War, followed by the 1st OPO-High Table War and the OPO-NATO War. There is also the OPO-OUN war, fought by the Old OPO before the current one, resulting in the initial disbandment/reformation of OPO. This war occurred outside of P&W
Rouge State Wars[]
During the OPO Expansion Period, OPO as a whole became involved in many of the smaller wars its members were waging; an early example was the Lucas/canada War; in which a Yeetybois Empire (not then an official member) raid on Lucas Dynasty resulted in new canada 1 declaring war on Yeetybois Empire; MI-Landing then declared war on both the Yeetybois Empire's enemies and the two went on to beat Lucas Dynasty and new canada 1. Yeetybois EMpire officially joined OPO after this. Similar wars included the Gupta War and Hartke War. The Gupta war began when MI-Landing and Yeetybois Empire simultaneously raided the nation of Gupta Empire; the two OPO members were, at the time, unaware they had simultaneously raided the same person. MI-Landing quickly made peace with the Gupta Empire; Yeetybois Empire made peace overtures, as the Gupta Empire had acquired air superiority and its army was advancing, but the Gupta Empire declined; it HAD noticed that 2 members of the same alliance had attacked at once, and can be forgiven for thinking it deliberate; the Gupta Empire was determined to humiliate the invader, and so the war dragged on. However, Yeetybois Empire had managed to gain naval superiority, and managed to secure victory through naval battles and sheer luck; in response to this unexpected defeat, the Gupta Empire began making threats, and suddenly attacked 3 members of OPO; however, Yeetybois Empire, which had discovered MI-Landing's brief attack at the same time as theirs, conducted emergency negotiations with the Gupta Empire to explain the situation, and the Gupta Empire's forces backed down. The Hartke war was actually a series of wars against the rouge state Hartke, mainly conducted by MI-Landing and Yeetybois Empire, which had become very close allies by this point. The War for the defense of Poltranat immediatley preceded the June 2023 crisis and saw OPO band together to stomp a rouge player that had attacked Poltranat, a new OPO member. The threat was crushed in time to save Poltranat, which won the war alongside its allies.
Inter-Alliance wars[]
As OPO grew, so did the number of people who became aware of it. OPO began to once again fight large inter-alliance wars. The first of these new wars was the Globglogabgalab-OPO War; the nation of Flenderson, which was then a member of Globglogabgalab Inc, was attacked by Yeetybois Empire in a rematch for their previous war (which, although won by Yeetybois Empire, remains to this day the closest war the Yeetybois Empire has ever fought, even more so than the Gupta War). However, Flenderson had since joined Globglogabgalab Inc, which attacked Yeetybois Empire and was in turn attacked by OPO; however, a treaty was soon drafted and the alliances signed a treaty. Since then, Flenderson has left Globglogabgalab Inc, but the treaty remains. Another OPO inter-alliance war was the 2nd OPO-High Table war, AKA the OPO-Encounter war; several OPO members were attacked by members of The High Table, starting the second OPO-High Table war, but midway through they left The High Table and joined The Encounter. The war ultimately ended poorly for OPO, but OPO-High Table relations have since improved. Following this, OPO fought a very limited war against Carthago, which OPO won without the conflict escalating further. OPO was then approached aggressively by Panem, which wanted to annex OPO. OPO fought back and managed to defend its freedom, though Panem demanded money. The sum requested was only $10m but due to an internal mistake OPO accidentally payed twice, ultimately giving up $25m. At about the same time, OPO began a war against The Dark Brotherhood in defense of a new member who was being attacked by TDB. TDB retaliated in full force, severely weakening OPO; the war remains the only truly severe defeat OPO has faced. After recovering, OPO went after the Union of Socialist Soviet Republicz, a mostly inactive alliance, to try and abosrb the remaining active members. The war was won, but USSRz was not absorbed.
OPO later became engaged in several other wars, mainly in defense of allies like TSKY. These included the OPO-Seven Deadly Sins war, The Nautical Raid, and more. OPO also fought a 3rd war against the High Table, and actually won, forcing the THT raiders to sue for peace with coordinated counterstrikes and TSKY aid.
