History[]
OCN was created On September 27, 2020 exactly on the Owner's birthday, it was formally known as On Mark News Network (OMNN), each story posted was written and aired as a poem, reported with words that rhymed with each other which made the network stand out from the rest. The owner advertised OMNN to many and what it offered made people intrigued so it grew exceptionally quick, from daily giveaways, to creatives shows and events, it was very well active, each week the server would average 10-30 newcomers and sometimes more, Politics and War wasn't exactly a "huge" game, OMMN's rise in popularity was largely due to the rise of the game in the quarantine period of COVID-19, PnW gained massive attention from a viral video made by a popular Geographic YouTuber Drew Durnil.
Eventually, once OMNN has reached 500 members it rebranded to what it's known today "(OCN) Orbis Crowned News", this rebrand normalised reporting, it also introduced polls, some polls are important, and depending on your vote, OCN can change and improve. Unfortunately, 1 month after the rebrand a former admin nuked the server deleting every channel, every role and banning every member, this former admin also nuked another network he administrated, Pirate Island Times. PIT reached out to OCN and assisted in its recovery. News about the nuke spread quickly throughout the community, prompting many to join OCN in support. This surge of help not only led to a full recovery but also significantly boosted the network’s numbers—growing to 750 members within just a month. This took place around late 2023, and ever since, the network has continued to grow steadily, increasing in popularity.
1. Common Sense Golden rule, just use common sense, don't be a prick, treat people how you want to be treated.
2. Allocated Channels Messages and Content goes into the correct channels just so the server looks cleaner.
3. No NSFW material Just keep it in dms, not everyone wants to see it.
4. No Racism, Harassment or Homophobia Goes in line with Rule 1, but this one should be enforced, any direct attacks towards other people with ill intent will result in Mod action.
5. Have fun Rules are put in place to just keep the balance of the server, we hope you enjoy your stay.
The addition of The Alliance Series[]
On May 18, 2025, Xaria contacted AS, the author of the popular trending news article, The Alliance Series, which explores various alliances in P&W by covering their histories, ambitions, goals, and other key aspects. Xaria proposed featuring The Alliance Series on the OCN, and AS agreed. Consequently, the third issue became the first installment published on the OCN, as well as the in-game bulletins.
