Political Division

The NAF operates as a Federal Constitutional Republic, with the forty-five (45) states and various territories possessing a high level of autonomy, while the small federal government manages affairs of national importance in a strictly outlined job as stated in the constitution.

States, Territories, and Districts

The NAF hosts forty-five (45) states with the most recent being Hawai'i. Their are several territories, with the largest and most important ones being Greenland, the Philippines, and Cuba, as well as various smaller territories such as Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands. The NAF also hosts one (1) federal district, the capital of New Columbia, which is managed directly by the federal government, although many day-to-day powers have been handed down to the local city government.

The NAF has signed a Compact of Free Association (COFA) with three (3) Pacific nations, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Island, and the Republic of Palau. The NAF controls Military, Political, and Economic power and protection of nations in a COFA with the NAF. In return, nations in a COFA can work and live inside the NAF.

Borders

The NAF shares land borders with Canada, The Mexican Federation, Deseret, Gran Columbia, Honduras, Britain, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Côte d'Ivoire. While Maritime borders are shared with Haiti, Dominica, and Malaysia.

Federal Government

The Federal Government of the New American Federation has a Congresses with both a Senate and House of Representatives, a Supreme Court with nine (9) Justices, and a President, Vice President, and other members of the President's Cabinet. National Elections are also won through the Electoral College, which are calculated by a states senators and representatives.

Legislative Branch

The Congress is made up of two (2) houses, the House of Representatives (lower) and the Senate (upper). While each state receives two senators, the House of Representatives is based on population with 1 Representative per 500,000 people-although every state receives at least 1 representative even if with a population of less than 500,000. There are currently 90 seats in the senate and 396 seats in the House of Representatives.

Executive Branch

The Executive Branch hold the office of the President, Vice-President, and executive level departments. The President and Vice-President are elected with the electoral college, while the department heads are appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.

Military

Army Corps

The Army Corps is the oldest branch of the military. It is the largest and most well funded branch. The Army Corps deals with issues abroad and defense. The Army Corp is headed by General Henry Tully.

Air Corps

The Air Corps is responsible for Air Superiority and the elimination of targets via strikes. The Air Corps was founded shortly before the Second World War. The Air Corps is headed by Commander Rosanne Ford.

Space Corps

The Space Corps is a part of the Air Corp. It deals with protecting NAF military, civilian, and scientific assets in space. The Space Corps is headed by Commander Joseph E. Brown.

Naval Corps

The Naval Corps deals with carrying out supplies and missions with the Army, Air, and Marine Corps. The Naval Corps is headed by Admiral Edward A. McKinley.

Marine Corps

The Marine Corps is tasked with the most intense missions and is a part of the Naval Corps. The Marine Corps is headed by General Robert Crawford.

Coast Guard

The Coast Guard is tasked with the protection of NAF Maritime borders. The Coast Guard is headed by Admiral Rylee S. Adams

National Guard

The National Guard is tasked with protecting and securing the NAF in times of civil turmoil. The National Guard is the home defense force and works with both the Army Corps and Department of Homeland Security. The National Guard is headed by General Arton H. Hawks

Orbis Baseball League

The team represented the NAF in the Orbis Baseball League (OBL) is currently the American Eagles Women's Team.

American Baseball League

The American Baseball League (ABL) decides the national champion of NAF baseball. The winner of the ABL goes on to compete in the OBL. The ABL is hosted once a year.

American Eagles

The American Eagles are the current reigning champions for the NAF, winning the past three (3) ABL championships and five (5) overall. The American Eagles are the first all-women's team to win an ABL championship, although the first all-women's team to compete in the ABL were the Missouri Pioneers in 1976. The American Eagles are also headed by the first female and lesbian ABL coach, Rosanna Kai-Cowwet. The American Eagles currently reside in New Columbia, and operate out of Jefferson Stadium.
