Description[]
Just Taiga is an olive color alliance founded on November 4th, 2020. It was formed after a single member separated from The Commonwealth during Global War 16 to become a pirate extension of Mythic. It's currently a protectorate of Carthago. The alliance is notable for its cultish following of Taiga and employment of voluntary slavery.
History[]
Pirate Era[]
In the early stages of Global War 16 a single nation from The Commonwealth, Taiga, decided to become a raider after loot was believed to be plentiful. Taiga then approached Mythic and eventually became an extension of them. While Just Taiga maintained a separate alliance in-game, it was a normal member of Mythic. After two months of raiding, the loot became noticeably less good. In coincidence with this, Mythic announced it was dissolving. This led to Just Taiga transition into a farming alliance in mid-December.
Isolation Era[]
After rebuilding infrastructure and ending raiding, the alliance found itself in a precarious position of not having a purpose anymore because the raiding was finished. However, time passed and Just Taiga continued to exist. During this time it created an off-shore bank and introduced Taigan Federation cards. It also made treaties with Weebunism, Carthago and temporarily The Commonwealth. Relations between the alliance and Mythic were strained and eventually cut as the two alliances became hostile towards one another. During this period, the alliance did not have any new wars. The isolation era lasted for three months before Just Taiga became a protectorate of Carthago.
Citadel Era[]
On March 8th, 2021, Just Taiga received a guarantee of independence from Carthago. The respective leaders of both alliances knew each other prior from the defunct Citadel bloc.
Beliefs[]
1. Taiga Knows Best : This concept means Taiga has a divine, irrevocable mandate to rule as Taiga sees fit. This does not mean members and the government have to agree with Taiga. But it does mean Taiga can not be replaced/usurped/or surpassed in judgement or control over the alliance.
2. Hands off : JT does not believe in taxes or government-backed grants (though individual nations may donate). Members are required to build for themselves and keep themselves economically sufficient. In turn, members are not taxed and the government keeps no information/data on member incomes. This is also the same policy for their city builds, which there are no regulations for unless their build is too bad. During times of war however, the government CAN set MA requirements.
3. Sun Never Sets : The alliance is to endure any hardship with the help of others or without. It shall also seek for eternal prosperity and spread peace whenever possible. And if her freedom or her friends call upon her to make hard sacrifices, she shall do so. For the sanctity of the Federation, the alliance shall live on by enduring necessary hardships.
4. Bitter to the End : Because of historical betrayals and abandonments, the alliance shall pursue revenge against its enemies, both historic foes and current ones. This revenge shall be waged asymmetrically.
5. One Mind : The essential goal of Just Taiga is to form a land pure of thought. Pure, in this case, means accepting of all the previously mentioned beliefs. Therefore, as long as the alliance is led by Taiga, it is achieving this goal.
