Manufacturing improvements take raw resources and convert them to manufactured resource. Each type has a national project which boosts production in the related type. Manufacturing improvements produce pollution so that should be factored when building them.
Oil Refinery

- Upkeep: $4,000 per day ($334/turn)
- Pollution: +32 points
- Limit: 5 per city.
Steel Mill
- Converts: 3 tons & 3 tons into 9 tons per day
- Construction Cost: $45,000
- Upkeep: $4,000 per day ($334/turn)
- Pollution: +40 points
- Limit: 5 per city
Aluminum Refinery
- Converts: 3 tons into 9 tons per day
- Construction Cost: $30,000
- Upkeep: $2,500 per day ($209/turn)
- Pollution: +40 points
- Limit: 5 per city
Munitions Factory
- Converts: 6 tons into 18 tons per day
- Construction Cost: $35,000
- Upkeep: $3,500 per day ($292/turn)
- Pollution: +32 points
- Limit: 5 per city
Bonus Production
There is a 12.5% production bonus for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th matching manufacturing improvement, totaling up to 50%. Corresponding raw resources usage is increased to create more of the manufactured resources.
