Main article: Charter of Pantheon

History[]

Here is the History of Pantheon, all of the backroom details, motivations and rational of our moves, from the perspective of It's creator, Fistandantilus(And then, The Emperor with my 2nd nation). The 1st is a tale of a man's journey where he created the top scoring alliance, had an insane upper tier consolidation with 15 out of the top 20 in his alliance, an absurd rebuild/warchest, and how he gave up right before he crossed the finish line and made something worthwhile out of all of it. The 2nd is a Tale of revenge, and learning from the mistakes of the 1st. Outside of the brackets is left as was, as I wasn't there and know little of those times.

Created on the 5th of October, 2015, Pantheon was created entirely because of The Syndicate had no officer positions, and I really wanted to get into PnW like I did Cyber Nations Ha. I retired my nation in CN to the GPA, and I managed to get a lot of our early members from there(Don Juan, Printer, Yui, Jeric, Benfro), and we started off as a prot of The Syndicate. The Early times where a lot of fun, I saw prots as an opportunity to build deep working relations that could form into strong friendships/alliances, and I soon after got a prot with Rose with Belesarious's help, who was also a GPA gov member and a great friend to our fledgling alliance.(And someone who I had a lot of respect for). With some extremely effective recruiting, Excellent Econ Programs where I would create optimal builds for ALL OF OUR MEMBERS, and a welcome merger into us, we soon found ourselves in the top 15 just a few months after creation. T$ was the alliance we grew incredibly close too, and it was always my plan to stick in T$yndisphere since day 1, but I was wary about how TS loved to throw prots into their wars before the prots where ready, killing off several alliances that surely would of made it as long term relevant players if it wasn't for those wars, and thus I did my best to keep us out of them while we grew.

As we neared the top 10 in score and started to form real treaties, The Syndicate dropped a bomb shell on me, telling me that they where going to go paperless, and where giving me an advanced notice. They suggested we look to get a treaty with VE, and I agreed, and VE where eager to get a treaty with us. This put is in an Awkward position when a month or so after, TS informed me that they have backtracked on their Paperless plan LOL. It was never my intent to sign the treaty to get out of the next war, but I felt if I cancelled on them it would be both a betrayal to them, and it gave us an incredible position. I really liked the idea of creating a 3rd sphere to break the 2 sphere dynamic, and I was hoping it could build into something to that effect oneday.

Our growth continued, and eventually we became the the top scoring alliance within 1 year of creation, and we had amassed the largest rebuild in game history for the time(Over 4BN), and ample resources to fight and win a protracted war. I had created something powerful, and my goals of Pantheon where always:

1) Do right by my members, and the the best way to do that was focus on Top tier dominance with lower tier support. We had 15 out of the top 20 or so in our alliance, it was absurd, This let the whale's money go to protection from up declares by financing a robust lower tier, minimizing the damage our super whales would take in a war to minimal levels, thus resulting in a massive rebuild income for our smaller members. I found that to be the perfect setup for an alliance, and give my members the best possible growth and war experience possible. I was a hands on leader whom helped and solved problems for anyone who came to me, and I had a regular 1 on 1 dialogue with nearly every member. When it came to alliance culture, I always thought neutrality was foolish in PnW, it was obvious neutrality destroys alliances, creates an unfun/toxic culture of fear/cowardice, and guarantees loosing every war you do have to fight, and I wanted to go in the hard opposite direction and create a military powerhouse with great, close, allies and an extremely strong economy.

2) Be a force for good. There are lots of bullies and liars in this game, and I really wanted the alliance to be a force for good and use it's position to help people. I did a fair amount of it on my 1st playthrough, and I was able to do even more on my 2nd playthrough, I really enjoyed that aspect of just helping people(In and out of the alliance) as the alliance leader of a good sized AA, and I even earned the "Most Friendly player" award in 2018 ha. I really hate the negative aspects of the game, and I think they ruin it tbh, and I tried to do my part to make Orbis a better, more reasonable, place.

3) Roll the NPO out of the game. I found them to be an incredibly toxic and negative force in CN, and I wanted to maintain the health of the game by perma rolling them until they disbanded. I only shared this with TS leadership, and they where onboard, with them being CN vets as well, ha. I had strong words when they signed a treaty with NPO later on though, I was pissed, as I thought it was best to take them out while they where still new and did not have any rebuild potential. TS thought it was best to try and remove them from Paracov's orbit, which was sound logic, I just thought it was a serious mistake.

The TS Paracov war that did eventually happen made us EXTREMELY rich, while we armed up and would defend any of our allies if they where attacked 1st(We had non chaining treaties), both sides managed to avoid bringing us in. The amount of money and growth we made from selling resources in the war was extreme, and TS asked us to hold their bank for them, and we did, and I sold off their extra resources at their request, giving them an extremely nice rebuild. Manthrax did ask that we help them out with their rebuild more, with our unused rebuild, but with all the money I made for them selling mats for war prices, I thought they had enough and declined, but I later regretted that, as it really wasn't fair, and I did end up paying for that mistake, when I got leaks that Manthrax was jealous of our growth and was giving TEst the okay to hit us next war without any coalition counters, after we entered to defend TS so we would have a war on 2 fronts ha. TS and I where EXTREMELY close, and in Manthrax's defense, I think his feeling of betrayal about us not pitching into their rebuild was reasonable. I also talked to him how happy I was getting my newer nation to #3 in city count...I was an absolute fool without realizing it ha, the signs where there he was madly jealous.

After that war I didn't want a repeat of us sitting out again, so we ended up cancelling VE and signing The Knights Radiant. I tried to atleast minimize the bad blood between us and VE, but I failed spectacularly. They where quality people, but TS gov where really my tight friends, and I wanted to stick with them. I also found TS leadership to be vastly more intelligent then VE's Para/Cov, and thought that they would be the best friends for long term success for the good of our membership, even if ParaCov had more score atm.

I was extremely excited for the Silentwar, until I started getting leaks from people with info showing Manthrax backstabbing us with talks about letting TEST hit us with impunity after we commented to TS's defense. While I understand now why he did it, and I dont think it was unreasonable, it hurt me a lot. I trusted them and they where my best ingame friends, and this put me under an extreme amount of stress. I still got us war ready, with some amazing players like Twtn and Warmachine as our MoD leadership to help, I was confident we'd have an extremely good showing and be able to establish ourselves as on of the strongest alliances in the game and build the culture we needed to last in PnW. (We where number 1, but score matters little compared to competency IMO, but with all our CN and PnW Vets, I felt certain we'd do well and learn).

Then I overslept on day we where going to blitz, after working on war prep the night before. When i woke up like 2 hours after, I was so overwhelmed with guilt, it consumed me. I also realized that once TEst hit us like Manthrax has planned, I would need to go to TKR with the info I had about the betrayal, and I would destroy both Syndiesphere, a sphere I truly, as insane as it is to say, loved. And then set my sights on my closest ally... In an emotional split decision I decided the game was better off without me(Syndiesphere was doing so much good in the game IMO), and I just left and gave Yui lead after she said she wanted it. If I just would of stuck it out, I think I could of shepherded in the military culture I was building for, all the work we all did amassing large nations and resources was completed, all we needed now where some good war experiences for culture building and membership bonding. I really think we could of done it, we had a great crew the 1st time around, but I absurdly quit minutes before we could of made something solid out of the alliance.. I regretted this decision a lot later, I should of not been so emotional, should of gone to Manthrax and talked it out, gave him some money for this upcoming war rebuild(We had billions more then we needed too..), and done right by our members who needed me and led the war as I planned. This war going well was our last trial in trying to make something that was solid and would last, but with me micromanaging almost every aspect of the alliance, and with me leaving suddenly, there was no chance they would be able to fill the void for the war and it would not be what we needed, and probs would damage the culture beyond repair. Noone else had experience leading large alliance blitzes(I did a lot of it in CN, before I retired to the GPA). Even after all these years, and seeing things clearly, I still feel bad over it. I really over reacted to a small mistake of taking that nap and let the pressure get to me LOL

But so ended Fistantantilus of Grand Archadia, and I deleted the 3rd highest city count nation in the game heh. (Maybe someday I'll do the 2nd part, with my 2nd nation, that was an absolute shit show of an adventure LOL. I also didn't have time to proofread this, plz be kind)

On July 27, 2017, the Olympian of Internal Affairs Felkey, left the alliance. Afterwards, Yui became acting Olympian of Internal Affairs in addition to her duties as Titan of the alliance.

In November 2017, a new generation of government officials (Ivan, Madden8021, Lionstar and Sphinx) were promoted into their positions. Around the same time, the Olympian of Foreign Affairs Don Juan became co-Titan with Yui. The new government reformed the alliance's structure and abolished the democratically elected council of Pantheon in the process. Shortly afterwards, another government crisis ensued during which first Yui resigned as Titan, leaving the alliance for Purple Flower Garden which would later become an extension and protectorate of The Commonwealth. Shortly afterwards, Don Juan also resigned as Titan and left the alliance for Grumpy Old Bastards. After approximately a week without a leader, Ridcully became Pantheon's fourth Titan. Pantheon's government remained unstable, however, with frequent changes in its lineup.

On March 11, 2018, two low government members, Akuryo and Renshiro, conducted a coup against Pantheon's government and subsequently stole the alliance's bank. All government members were removed from their ingame positions before the perpetrators deleted their nations. Pantheon was left without any government for a week because Alex, the game administrator, was not contactable as he was on vacation. Afterwards, he reinstated Pantheon's government but did not recreate the alliance's bank.

Part 2: The Emperor and my path of Revenge.

1) Prelude: It was 2018, and I was enjoying myself in TKR. I told Dalinar at one point, that it was everything I wished Pantheon would of been. Active, well run, great military culture, and respected. The thought of joining Pantheon never crossed my mind, in fact, I hated what it had become from the outside. A failure run by incompetents, still coasting by on the momentum I built up, where the membership would of been better off in nearly any other alliance. After some time in TKR, I began to notice some serious problems, and tried to fix them from the inside(Managed to stop a mass exodus of low gov too ha). The leader at the time, The Creapy Lurker, was an incompetent Fool, the growth programs had serious flaws, and where bad on many levels, how they lied and kicked Kayser out of the alliance over something they made up, when Kayser was on the cusp of breaking up the 2 sphere deadlock(Crazy story, but not for here ha). When Nazeem took over, I tried to explain how precarious TKR's situation was politically, and how we where making bad moves, but she couldn't understand. With this backdrop, all of a sudden I heard The Commonwealth, an alliance with near zero internal activity and was dying, and had a NPD leader, was going to end Pantheon and get them to merge into them to buy them some more time alive. I was furious was Ridcully, their current leader, turned out I did care about the alliance still, and hated how he was mismanaging it, and I let into him. I blurted out, at some point in our convo, that I'd take lead and fix it. And fuck, 1 minute later, I had leadership of a major alliance again LOL(It was #5 at the time). I really shouldn't of said anything, and I got what I deserved heh. I immediately got to work, some buddies I made at TKR came over and helped, and my plan was to restructure the alliance and make it a solid ally of TKR again, which was the way to save them and Pantheon, they just didnt realize it. They where politically isolated at that point, a strong, loyal, number 5+(And I made Pantheon #1 last time around, from just 3 people, it was going to be cake for me to get it even stronger starting off with an established AA) AA on their side was something they needed badly

2) The Split: But then Felky happened, and while people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder tend to be failures at everything they do, due to the lack of self awareness to efficiently admit and learn from their own mistakes, they do all tend to have one talent that does give them an extreme edge in social situations: They lie and lie and lie and play people's emotions well, to get what they want out of people. And that's what Felky did to TKR, because he knew he needed Pantheon to not be some dead husk of an alliance. When i arrived in pantheon, I'm a number person with an extreme amount of PnW Econ experience, and I immediately noticed Sphinx had to be skimming money from his growth circle scheme into his own nation, robbing the entirety of the alliance of signifigant cash. I demoted him asap, to prevent another bank robbery. I left him with discord perms though, because I didn't want to piss him off too much, and I wanted to hear his side of the story, in-case I was mistaken, and that was my mistake. Pantheon at the time was receptive, and I started getting to work fixing everything, and it was going well. Then when I woke up, Sphinx nuked the discord, deleting loads of channels, including the one with the charter, and then Felky was telling TKR that I couped Pantheon, even though it was legal, but without a charter I had no proof other then screenshots of gov at the time saying it was. I showed them to TKR, and pleaded with them, but they all bought into Felky's absurd lies, and didn't think what Sphinx did was SUS as all LOL. I had several friends in TKR, and they sympathized, but they where all in low gov, and I felt absolutely back-stabbed by how people like Lordship, Dalinar, and even Nazeem(SP? I can never remember that one) all believed these absurd lies and refused to make me seriously(I loved TKR, and worked hard while I was in gov there). One of my friends in gov, at the time, then leaked to me that TKR was planning to attack Pantheon now, and my old friend Partisan was leader of T$ again, and I went to him and laid the situation bare, and asked for help, and he graciously agreed(If it wasn't him, I would of gone to IQ next, but, I think I made my thoughts clear on what I thought of the NPO in the 1st section ha, and I rreeaaallllyyy didn't want to have to do that).

3) TKR and Felky tried to kill Pantheon: With TKR's support, Felky and Yui did everything they could to poach members. Yui used her "e-girl" charm, and was pulling people left and right, and I tried talking to her, and she admitted what she was doing wasn't right, but she kept at it, just saying "Sorry", for reasons I don't understand. But she was effective, and we dropped out of the top 10, and even The Syndicate was expressing doubt over spending the political capital to support me, which was reasonable, pissing off TKR for an alliance that was dying andhad an extremely effective FA campaign launched against us by TKR/TCW was a bad move. It was a really really hard time. I had to rebuild the entire thing under extreme stress, but I stayed the course, and we stopped loosing people once we got to #15 or so. They hit us hard, but I recruited old friends, made new ones, and we all spent a ton of time restructuring, trying to retain members, and recruit new ones, and saved it.

4) Part 4: Rank 15 to rank 2.

With our boat now stabilized, it was now time to grow, and that we did. I brought back all my tried and true econ programs from the past, and now without Sphinx stealing from the alliance, proper builds in every nation who would reply to my DMs/InGames, we where skyrocketing up and built up a new team of people. Not wanted to make the mistakes I did last time, I started building the military culture right away. We had 2 perfect blitzes and victories in wars against both NSR and Typhoon, and where going to hit a similar sized alliance, forgot the name, before they treatied up and got into the Web ha. We took an alliance that needed to hire protection because it couldnt even defend itself... to a place where any raider who hit us got his slots filled and then tried to slide into my DMs to save himself LOL. Partisan was relived too, and he was happy to see us on the right track and not a complete waste of political capitol, and I began setting things in motion to ensure we could get a grand coalition against TKR and TCW, and make them pay for their lies and betrayals. Every effective event I could use, I did, and Nazeem(SP?) kept blundering, and I kept working the back channels, until it T$ and I where on the same page of rolling TKR with IQ. I always suspected Partisan may of planned this from the start, so IDK if any of my FA really mattered in the end TBH, but I made sure to do my part I suppose ha. Nazeem foolishly never understood their position, and kept blundering and blundering, and for some reason Dalinar or Lordship didn't see it, or couldn't effectively control their new leader like the last. In the end, they had the entire game hating them, and we setup the Coalition discord for Knightfall.

5) Knightfall. Pantheon was number 2, had the most members out of any alliance ingame, had experienced and competent fighters, loads of cash/warchest built up, and now it was time for it all to come together. We had them so outnumbered that our coalition was fighting for slots, and we where assigned to hit The Fighting Pacifist. We worked with some of our smaller allies(Afrika Core, really great people to work with), built target sheets, had the members ready, it was going to be one hell of a blitz, but TFP bailed, and the downside of a warlike culture, is people get demotivated from the game if they cant fight, so we ended up doing a perfect blitz on all of TKR's smaller allies, and we filled every single slot within minutes. It was my intent to then go into their discords, and use my political capitol up getting them a quick peace, as I really just wanted to practice a large blitz and had no bad blood with them. When i entered though, their leadership was calling us trash and shit talking us, and I just left, and refused to lift a finger to help them when they later came begging us for peace. I told them that with how they shit talked us, I'm not going to use capitol to try and secure a peace, go ask someone who you didn't shit talk in our coalition ha. Pantheon was a lower tier powerhouse at this point, and even with IQ hitting TFP, and us saying out of it on principal, we had by far the most wars won out of any alliance in our coalition, and ground down TKR and friends for months. TKR was undefeated before this, and I personally gave TKR's leader her 1st ingame loss, and rolled Sphinx a couple times ha. Sphinx was sweet and said he really respected what I made Pantheon into, and that was unexpected and nice of him. With TKR receiving the longest rolling in game history, Felky rage quitting the game like week 1, TCW in shambles, I felt like I both got my revenge, and built a much better Pantheon, even if not nearly as rich as before.

6) Exit and aftermath: It was sad what happened to Pantheon after I left, I was burnt out halfway through the war, and selected my replacements, got rid of some of the incompetent gov so they would not cause problems after I was gone, and I once again quit the game. Unfortunately, I did a bad job choosing good leaders, and one of TKR's small allies, Nova Reita, had a money glitch and used it to build up and hit Pantheon after we spent our rebuild, causing extreme damage to the alliance :( I really thought it would last this time, but I was wrong.

On February 28, 2019, Fistandantilus announced his resignation as Titan of Pantheon and that he would leave the game once again. Ethos, who became Pantheon's sixth Titan and katashimon13 became the alliance's second-in-command with several other government positions also changing.

On March 13, 2019, another coup occurred against Pantheon's government. Former Olympian of Internal Affairs Melyaj Vijsopj couped Pantheon and demoted its government members ingame. The coup was foiled when Alex promoted Ridully to leader ingame because Melyaj Vijsopj had went into Vacation Mode following the coup. Ridcully expelled the perpetrator who went on to create his own short-lived alliance.

On April 8, 2019 The Syndicate, at that time Pantheon's only partner (excluding protectorates), announced that it would cancel its treaty with Pantheon following a protection period of one month. At the end of April 2019, only two months after he had become the leader, Ethos quietly resigned as Pantheon's Titan and was replaced by katashimon13.

Just a few days later on May 4, 2019, Pantheon declared war on Nova Riata and The Federation preemptively, starting The Great Sock War. At the beginning of the war, Pantheon was the sixth largest alliance in game with a score of approximately 220,000 and 106 members. By May 13, Pantheon had dropped to the 39th place in the alliance ranking after it fell to an alliance score of about 81,000 with 64 members left.

Pantheon earned an unlikely victory in The Great Sock War following surrenders from Nova Riata on June 3 (after being implicated in cheating) and The Federation on June 8.

On September 27, 2019, government member ApocalypseCalculator was banned by SixSadistic66 following a disagreement on an announcement. Shortly after he was banned he joined TI, where he eventually became Head of Econ. Following the ban, Olympian of Economics LukeTP left and join tCW, and Motkuv was promoted to Olympian of Economics.

On February 9, 2020, SixSadistic66 banned long standing member Ridcully (1,482 days seniority) from the Alliance with the reasoning of the implication of a failed impeachment attempt in November 2019 claiming it was a coup as well as the refusal to turn over the Pantheon Discord Ownership despite the government voting for Ridcully to maintain it. Following a forum post attempting to explain the ban and justify a controversial decision to reinstate a government member after verified vile social conduct, Pantheon lost almost all of its government members and had one of the largest exodus' in Pantheon's history dropping 25K NS (31K including Ridcully who was in VM at the time) within 24 hours (14 members of its 90, not including the ban of Ridcully) and dropping from #5 alliance to #12. This event has widely been condemned by all alliances and members so far and is considered a terrible mistake.

On December 20, 2020, Terminal Jest engaged in combat with the alliance as the start of the Party in the Pantheon, continuing for 11 days in a multi-alliance war until a white peace was reach. By this point, Pantheon had stabilized at rank #27 at a score of 124,000.

On January 10, 2021, former Titan Ichigo Kurosaki left the alliance, causing an internal schism as government members accused Kurosaki of stealing from the alliance bank. An exodus followed Kurosaki's departure, including former Champion Llojsa, leading to a drop of over 30k NS over the next day.

On January 12, 2021, Pantheon absorbed its training alliance High Gods, which up until that point was led by former Titan SixSadistic66. The next few weeks marked a shuffling of government affairs, under Reddi's quiet but present tenure. However, there were clear signs of trouble for the alliance; most of their treaties were terminated (including those with Mandalore and the Atlantian Council) after the events of Kurosaki's departure. Hovering around 100,000 NS, the alliance were clinging to their position in the Top 40.

Several changes were made to rejuvenate the alliance. Dustydart of The Pride, taking leadership of economic and internal affairs, implemented an accelerated nation-building system funded by taxes and streamlined raid operations. Pantheon co-created The Liberty Bloc with Black Skies and The Coal Mines. In a lighthearted moment, Pantheon and The Coal Mines created over 20 MDoAP treaties between each other, which created an unsightly but comical sight on the Alliance Treaty Web. While this period was plagued with several high-profile departures, many newer members quickly gained strength that resembled the alliance in its youth.

The underlying problems, while having gone unnoticed by many newer members, had reached critical mass on February 14, 2021: Valentine's Day. News broke out that Titan Reddi had left the alliance, and the government had been replaced by Dustydart. While details were unknown at the time, Dustydart claimed that Reddi was stealing from the alliance bank and had recruited Epimetheus and others to secure the funds. Whether this is true or not is open to interpretation, but Pantheon suffered a devastating exodus. In the aftermath, 30 of its 50 members left, knocking the alliance out of its former position of power in Orbis.

On February 18, 2021, the alliance was declared defunct by its remaining leader, Cherise. Prometheus left as the remnants of the alliance dwindled to the single digits. Members left for different alliances, including Brotherhood Family, Oceania, The Immortals, and others. Cherise, referred to as the Gravekeeper of Pantheon, has organized a memorial of Pantheon to remember it "not as what it was, since it WAS the laughingstock of Orbis, but as we imagined and remembered it to be."

Achievements[]

On November 21, 2018, Pantheon member Amli bb, a nation with 12 cities at the time, defeated Sephiroth (a Grumpy Old Bastards government member with 34 cities) during Knightfall, looting more than $5.5 billion worth of money and resources, earning him the sixth position in the Top 10 Nations (Money Looted) leaderboard for the overall war. The money and resources were successfully transferred to Pantheon's bank for safekeeping with the help of katashimon13 and Adrienne.
