The United Republic Federation Armed Forces or URFAF are an military service responsible in the defense of the United Republic Federation of States and it's oversea bases in the Pacific, Kingdom of Abrizhou (formly), the Caribbean, and a colony in West Africa.

They're also are deployed to defend any allies when needed. The military uses the policy to have a Professional Army, having a army of 130,000 regular soldiers, 10,000 Operatives and 30,000 Marines, having 170,000 in total.

When Reservist are used, the size can increase to 315,000 troops. Leaving the population down to 6.1 million to work in Factories, Commercial, Government and School facilities.

The Military started as a Mercenary Force that was paid to insure Northern Ireland's independence from both the United Kingdom and the Irish Republic, defeating them against all odds. The unit was soon transformed into the Defense Force to act as National Police until 2024, they was finally completed as a Armed Forces at 2027.

History[]

- Before the Republic[]

Before they became a National Military force, the URF Military was an Mercenary Force hired by any power willing to pay them. They was deployed to many locations to take out important targets or take part in large assaults. Giving the company a name for themselves, they are feared by many rebel groups and government alike.

- Call of Independence[]

In 2016, The Senators and Members of the Northern Irish Council was displeased of the U.K's decision to leave the European Union. Knowing that once the people decide independence means martial law, they contacted the E.U. to support their decision. But it resulted in failure when both U.K. and U.S. officials stopped them, resulting in the Ulster Government to contact the United Mercenary Federation. After signing the contract, the UMF deployed several assets to defend the small new country, from Fighters to ships then to tanks and infantry. Soon deploying over 12,000 personal across the Ulster territory, showing off it's power. Nicholas Thomas took command personally and oversaw the operation, he was soon elected Alpha Commander of both Country and military.

- War with Great Britain[]

In 2017, U.K. Naval and Air Forces attempted to bombard Belfast as the Marines prepare to invade. But as they drew close, several Corvettes began to engage the British Fleet. They was soon assisted by black F-16Cs that flew overhead and began launching AGMs at the ships, overwhelming them easily. This began the Ulster War as the FMF was facing both Irish and British Forces.

- The Issues[]

When the war ended by 2018, the Mercenary Group was disbanded and reformed into a National Police force as the country didn't have enough money to afford both Military and police. Forcing them to do two jobs to ensure the nation's security. As time goes on, Irish Republic was able to take advantage of the issue and take back much of the territory, leaving only Ulster's original land size.

- War with Arrgh[]

When Arrgh Forces began to take notice, the Marine Corps was developed to raid enemy ships. They soon grew to launch small tactical raids on weak members, improving the Defense Force's ability to fight in wars.

The Aloha Wars soon came as the Defense Forces spread thin, they soon became weak against Aloha's preemptive attacks. The Ground Forces were soon sent on near suicidal missions to regain territory and fight back. After a year of fighting, the both nations were at their peaks. But with an allied attack, the Federation Water Force was able to defeated Aloha's ships and win the war. Receiving all the spoils needed to grow the military.

- Abrizhou-Nigerian War[]

From April to August 2023, the United Republic Federation Military was called to support the Abrizhouian Rebellion. The RF Carrier, Diplomacy, and a large task force was sent, along with the entire Marine Corp. Making a beachhead in Lagos and allowing addition support, soon Republic Federation planes landed in Lagos.

On April 18, 2023, F-16s and F-4M can be seen dropping bombs over Nigerian Forces. Then URF Infantry and Marine Corps soon assisted the Abrizhouian Forces, pushing the Nigerian troops out. Soon Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, and Edo were liberated, the Republic Federation then locked down those states until peace was settled.

- Evans' Rebellion[]

During the Arrgh Conflict, the URFDF was deployed after several protest from a Anti-Government Group ended violently. On January 1st, 2024, the leader of the protest, Imani Evans, declared war against the government starting the Evans' Rebellion.Turning the protest grew into a rebellion, and capturing many equipment and ships.

The Rebellion soon spread across the Empire, capturing key points and forcing the Defense Force to slow their response. The conflict grew worse with the Foltest Wars, enemy spies killing Secret Service Forces and sending weapons to the Rebels.

By 2027, United Republic Federation of States dropped the Defense Force for a more professional work. Once reformed and the war over, URFAF was soon deployed for an all-out war against the Rebellion. Attacking several sectors across the Federation Empire, pushing Rebel forces into extinction.

As of January 2030, the conflict ended with an URF Victory, Federation Forces began picking out small pockets of resistance. Mostly in the Samoa and Lagos regions of the Empire.

- Foltest Wars[]

The Foltest Wars became the Military's ultimate challenge as the 150,000 URF Troops was facing nearly 3,000,000 troops from several different nations. Soon much of the URF Water Force Fleet was in the bottom of the ocean as the URF Air Army was unable to sustain air superiority.

When the news spread of Nicholas Thomas' attempt to gain peace and submit to them, his son rose up an army of Marines and marched to the capital. Gaining control of both nation and military, he soon led a push that gave the country the advantage. Once white peace was declared, the military stepped down and gathered whatever spoils that captured.

- Aftermath[]

After the conflicts, the Military grew larger than expected. Gaining three updated Flagships, advanced Destroyers, and new Amphibious Assault ships, growing their air power to over 972 aircraft, and Ground Force growing to 165,000 personal with conscription height of 460,000. They are also no longer called United Republic Federation Defense Force, as the name implies to the weaken state of the United Republic Federations.

- Operation Federal[]

In mid 2030, the nation of Argentina was put into a civil war when Unitary Supporters gained Military Weaponry. The size of the Rebellion increased greatly, threatening to end the Federal Government in charged. The Rebellion soon declared themselves the Unitary Argentine Republic, then began engaging Government Forces.

During the Conflict, the Unitary Forces gained the Fleet to launch attacks on Argentine Shipping. Hoping to cripple them economically, but this gained the attention of Brazil and United Republic Federations. Naval Forces from the two Nations deployed with a single Fleet Carrier, Light Carrier, and a Multipurpose Helicopter Carrier with escorts.

Federal Argentine Forces sent their own fleet of a single Assault Ships with three Corvettes, joining the larger Allied Fleet. Soon a Decisive battle broke the Unitary Navy, who was supported by Chilean and Peruvian Warships. Soon URF Forces deployed over 25,000 Troops to support the Argentine Government, splitting into three Legions to support the push.

Area CDR. Lucas Thomas took charged of the coastal assault, breaking any cities and towns that'll support the Unitary Allied Navy. Field CDR. Fredrick Jones took command of the center push, with plans to split the Unitary Forces in two. Lastly, an unknown URF Officer took command of the Western Push, hoping to break into Chilean Borders and cause a withdraw.

The plan worked as within two months of the war, the Chilean and Peruvian Governments called for a withdraw. Leaving the Unitary Rebellion to themselves, who eventually surrendered a week after. The Treaty of Brasilia called for an end to the war, along with the disarmament of the Rebellion. The Brazilian and URF Forces would withdraw before Feb 1, 2031.

- Operation Peter

In late 2031, a Unitary Rebel Force grew within the city of Petersburg, Russia. Thanks to their small size, they never gotten the Russian Government's attention.

This allowed them to grow slowly, gaining the strength they need. Additional Support came from a mysterious Operative, who supplied weapons and funds to grow the Rebellion. Eventually allowing them to stage an Uprising, capturing the city and sealing it off to gain more numbers.

While the Russian Army use Artillery to weaken them, they can't do much else without causing civilian casualties. In January 2032, the Russian Minister come to the URF Government for support, with economic and military returns as a reward.

Within the month of February, Viper Corp Field Operatives are installed in the Rebellion. Gaining intelligence on how they operate, who supplied them, and how to break their numbers.

When it was learned that the Mysterious Operative is within the group, a URF Carrier, URFS Assault, was deployed with two Albion-class Assault Ships. Both ships carry over 2,500 Infantry Operatives, along with the fifteen new CV90-120 Light Tanks.

Area CDR. Lucas Thomas takes command of this Force, after being in a year-long Coma. Several squads snuck into the city, thanks to the Intel from the Field Operatives.

Once they had confirmation, the Armored Infantry stormed the city. They're Soon joined by Attack Helicopters and Interceptora, who were deployed from the Carrier in the Baltic.

The Viper Corp are soon joined by the divisions from the Russian Army, who use T-90M tanks to assist. Lucas and his team was able to kill the Leaders and capture the Operative, who was an Abrizhouian Operative.

The Viper Corp pulls out as Russian Forces secure the city, ending the Uprising in Petersburg. As a gift, two decommissioned Udaloy-class Destroyers and over 100 2S25 Sprut Tanks have been gifted to the URF.

- West African War[]

The conflict began in 2032 with Militant Forces entering URF Military Installation in Lagos, launching a surprise attack on it. In response to the attack, URF Forces launched Operation Superiority in a dense Forest and started a battle within one of the cities within Borno, Nigeria.

As they fought Abrizhouian Forces invades and blockades Lagos, occupying the UPN Territory.

The URF Military responded with Naval and Marine Force that pushed them back. They fought for months, with both sides fighting city by city. Abrizhouian Ace Pilots faced URF Viper Corp Pilots in MIG-29s, locking the air battle.

MIG-29

The URF Forces was able to take down the nation, expel the queen and return the resources and land to Nigeria. The Country was soon divided between Nigeria and United Republic Federation's Lagos Territory, expanding it's hold in West Africa. Once eliminated, URF Forces resumed operations against the Insurgent Forces. As of June 19, 2034, Operations in Borno ended with a URF and Nigerian Victory.

- Grand World War of 2035[]

This Conflict involved many nations that assisted United Republic Federation as allies or trade partners. These Countries fought the Imperial Quebec and the Allied Imperial Coalition, erupting into a World War that was fought all over the World. Beginning with a sneak attack that killed hundreds in Grand Detroit and destroyed an important Highway, the Federation called for war.

Between 2035 to August 4th, 2038, the URF along with Russian, American, and Korean Militaries fought across the planet. Liberating other nations and territories, gaining more allies from both Singapore and Malaysia. They even gain Alliances with Brazil and Turkey, defeating their Rivals that allied with the Allied Imperial Coalition.

The war reached its peak in August 7th, 2038, when United Counties and URF Forces invaded Imperial Quebec Empire. Over 1.2 million of Allied Troops advanced across the border, along with the Allied Fleet of over 90 ships with 120,000 Marines. Both sides pushed for the Capital, but was soon stopped. News came that the Queen was killed while fighting Supreme CDR. Lucas Thomas and his Operatives, this caused a massive surrender across the Empire.

The Treaty of Grand Detroit would end the war on September 1st, 2038. The URF Forces were deployed worldwide as Occupation Forces, along with other allies. The country cemented itself on the world stage, with the help of the United Republic Federation Armed Forces.

- European War of 2042[]

Nearly four years since the Grand World War, the cooperation between the URF and Russia declined quickly. It first began with playing chicken, with military elements in the air and sea engage in small acts against each other. It then grew to small skirmishes, with URF aircraft in Ulster deployed to the Central Europe against Su-35 Fighters. Soon standoffs begin to happen, the most famous was a skirmish off Argentine Waters. On March 12, 2042, URF 5th Fleet sailed near Argentine Coast as a temporary Defense Fleet, that are then engaged by Russian Naval Forces led by their Aircraft Carrier.

This sparked a larger conflict, in which Russian Forces invades Ukraine once again. In response, URF and UEC Forces responded by deploying their own units. As weeks go by, Allied Forces in land, air and sea battled the Russian and Belarusian Forces. By May 2042, the Allied Forces were able to conquer Belarus, leaving Russian troops alone. In the air, Allied Aircraft overwhelmed the overstretched Russian Air Force. Allowing URF Viper Corp to send S-70VCI Stealth Helicopters, who deployed Operatives to destroy Russian Air Defenses.

As of June 2042, the War is at a stalemate as both sides hold firm. With the war going on, URF Military Commission limited former Russian equipment, vehicles, and vessels, as these items can be misidentified and cause friendly fire between allies. They increase production of the newly acquired F-14D Interceptor, K2 Tank, and are making plans to replace the Udaloy-class Destroyers.

Personal[]

- U.R.F. Regular Army Corp[]

The United Republic Federation Army has a force of 130,000 troopers, about a quarter of them deployed into territories. They are well established, and very common during long-conflicts. They are the back bone of the URF Army, making them very easy to use.

The normal equipment of the URF Army Infantry Force is the AR-70 and AR-50 assault rifles, locally produced and has several variants from sniping to suppression fire. They also can be seen using Cx4 Storm Carbines, SAR-21 Assault Rifle, and/or M249 LMG.

For anti-tank, they have the SI40 Rocket Launchers or Barrett M500 Anti-Material Rifles. Their Armor is similar to the modern combat armor used by Ratnik Armor, the difference is the additional armor padding which is colored Grey or Light Green for Army. They also wear face-mask with Orange visors as a show of unity and similarity, along with a computer system installed in their helmets.

- U.R.F. Marines Corps[]

The Marine Corps has a force of 30,000 troops, they are better trained and suited for naval landings. They also carry AR-70 Assault Rifles, but carry IWI Tavor and Mx4 Storm Carbines for special missions. They also can be equipped with AR-75 Heavy Machine Guns, M39 Sniper Rifles, and SI40 Anti-Tank Rocket Launchers.

Their armor is also like the Russian Exoskeleton Armor, but more futuristic. Their armor pads are colored dark green, and they have more upgrades. Marines are often deployed as Rapid Response Force, but they can act as Armored Infantry to support the Army Corp.

- U.R.F. Viper Corps[]

The Omega Commander has their own Military unit. They are a regiment of 10,000 Special Soldiers trained for Special Missions, making them very difficult to combat against. Although they are commonly deployed as a Company during major Troop engagements, a small squad can be used many more operations.

They also have their own vehicles, mainly vehicles modified for stealth. Their armor is also like the Marine Corps' armor, but was colored black and modified with advance technology. Giving them super human strength, advanced durability, and precise-skills. Their armor can also be modified for different missions available, from SI80 Booster Jetpacks for Airborne to the SI85 AASA Gun (Anti-Armor Shoulder Artillery) for Anti-Tank.

- U.R.F. Expeditionary Corp[]

The Republic Federation has a large reserve force filled with 145,000 troops at maximum, being the larger size to the Regular Army Corp. During peace-time, they are either stationed within Ulster or demobilized and not counted.

They act as ceremonial units that parade down the capital, builders for humanitarian aid, and actors for recruitment. When war comes, they drop those roles for a more militarized use, being remodeled into either the Defense Corp or the Expeditionary Corp. Their uniforms are similar to the RAC, with the exception of a lighter color.

As a Defense Corp, they are trained to hold the line within Territories or the homeland against invaders. While as Expeditionary Corp are trained to invade other Countries with the Marine Corp, boosting the numbers of the smaller Corp. When fully mobilized, they are split into five armies of 29,000 each.

Operation Personal:[]

With having 315,000 Troops of the URF Military, they're split into Territorial Armies or Operation Corps.

This allows the Military Commission to operate a sizable force across the Territories, depending on its importance.

While some territories have fewer Divisions, the location they guard is still important. They can also be moved depending on the situation, which is more rare due to the creation of the Expeditionary Corp.

Ulster Operation Corp:[]

At least 208,100 Troops are assigned to the Capital Region, often in used in defense of the Island. This region is the homebase for Viper Corp, who are often deployed from the Island.

They are supported by the URF Reserve Fleets and URF Air Defense Corp, ensuring air and naval support. No more than 50,000 Troops can be taken from the island, due to the Island's importance as a Capital.

Each Division was split into four sections, thanks to the four sectors under URF Occupation. Two Army Divisions are placed in Northern Lagos, Two Marine Brigades in Southern Lagos, a Mechanized Force in Western Ogun, and Expeditionary Corp in both Eastern Ogun. The Army Divisions also occupy Osun, a territory once part of Abrizhou.
