History[]
Era of Isolationism (Sept. 29th – Oct. 8th, 2020)[]
For the first week or so of the nation's existence, Jacob naively attempted to be independent of any alliance, which naturally resulted in being raided semi-frequently. One such raid would connect him with a likeminded individual, Joros Corinsol of Mythlandia who had created an alliance devoted to pacifism called the United Federation of Canerica.
Era of Pacifism (Oct. 8th, 2020 – Mar. 2nd, 2021)[]
After connecting with Joros, Jacob became Suprevice President (Second in Command) of the United Federation of Canerica. During his four months in that position, he was primarily in charge of Foreign Affairs (FA) and Internal Affairs (IA) and generally assisted Joros with Military Affairs (MA) as needed. During this time, the alliance experienced decent growth by gaining allies in the micro community, becoming visible to a handful of macros, and ultimately achieving Top 75 status.
The Coal Mines (TCM) and Crusaders of the Holy Boogaloo (CHB)[]
Some time during October, Jacob ended up reaching out to Eligos of Monica Republic since they were, at the time, leader of a one person alliance. This led to Eligos connecting him with Nokia Rokia who was leader of TCM at the time and Jack Rackham who was leader of CHB at the time. TCM and CHB extended protectorate treaties to the United Federation of Canerica, but this would not last long due to Joros being unwilling to budge on the alliance's stance on pacifism and NAP treaties.
The Nova Roma "Crisis" and the End of the Era of Pacifism[]
On Mar. 2nd, 2021, Nova Roma blitzed the United Federation of Canerica and caught the alliance completely off guard. Joros and Jacob swiftly tried to organize and militarize the alliance with the intention of fighting Nova Roma to conclusion. After the initial moments, Jacob thought this was a good time to introduce the alliance on the Forums and posted what was meant to be a Declaration of Existence (DoE) and Recognition of Hostilities (RoH) combined declaring the alliance's existence and stating that it would fight Nova Roma to the last pixel if it had to without involving its M-level and O-level allies. However, the post was accidentally mislabeled as a Declaration of War (DoW) by Jacob, which led to heavy ridicule from the community and even some attacks from Nova Roma's allies in The Lost Empire as a DoW technically gave them valid reason to come to Nova Roma's "protection." Completely disheartened by this mishap, Jacob urged Joros to take the rest of the alliance and leave him alone to "go down with the ship" claiming that he would not leave or disband the alliance.
Era of Aurorian Fidelity (Mar. 2nd, 2021 – Mar. 1st, 2024)[]
One of the macros that Jacob had connected with during his four months in the United Federation of Canerica was Aurora, primarily Rainbow and ToxicPepper. Within four hours of the United Federation of Canerica, Rainbow convinced Jacob to join Aurora instead of simply giving up on Politics and War due to a single stupid mistake. As such, Jacob disbanded the alliance (again, receiving much ridicule for the decision due to prior statements) and joined Aurora on Mar. 2nd, 2021. At the time, Jacob was only intending on being in Aurora for about one to two months before rejoining Joros in his next alliance. In that time, he learned more about Foreign Affairs (FA) from Y-zard and Internal Affairs (IA) from George Putin before being given a role in the low government of Aurora as an Officer of the newly created Propaganda Bureau on Mar. 23rd, 2021. After that, he decided to stay.
Climbing the Ranks[]
On April 4th, 2021, Jacob was promoted to Service Coordinator (mid government) of Propaganda Bureau. During his time in the PB, he created monthly and weekly newsletters of the happenings in Aurora, created and ran a lottery for the alliance, and created badges for government members. However, on Sept. 16th, 2021, he was moved to Service Coordinator of Military Affairs (MA) where he managed counters, training low government Military Affairs (MA), and helped teach cadets. Then, on Jan, 21st, 2022, Jacob was promoted to Chairman (high government) of Military Affairs (MA) after SlyWolf21, the previous Chairman, left the alliance. As Chairman, he grew the department, trained incoming and current government members more, and revised multiple alliance documents related to the department. Due to real life constraints, Jacob stepped down from his government positions and became an Advisor for Aurora on July 16th, 2022.
Return to Government[]
On October 9th, 2023, Jacob would accept a position as Service Coordinator of Foreign Affairs (FA) under then-head Yassin Hakim. This would mark his official return to government after spending a few months helping with miscellaneous tasks across different branches of government. In this role, Jacob primarily cared for and maintained Aurora' foreign affairs server on Discord, but would also deal with petty negotiations related to raids and reparations.
