Cataclysm (CATA) was a White alliance, formed after the merge of Children of the Light and Error 404. Established on the 23rd of July 2021. Cataclysm is centered around highly robust Foreign Affairs, as well as Economic Affairs, and strives to be a beacon of hope in this horrid world that we all now call home. We are, Cataclysm.

Cataclysmic History[]
Cataclysm formed on July 23rd, 2021 from the remnants of Error 404 and Children of the Light. At the time of the merge, Error 404 was led by Basebond as well as TheRebelMan, and their counterpart in Children of the Light, LeftBehind. Prior to the merge, there was a group consensus amongst Basebond, TheRebelMan and Lefty. Lefty wanted TheRebelMan to replace him at some point, and Basebond's activity and ability to invest time into the game were slowly coming to an end. The three of them then decided that given this, a merge between both alliances seemed preferable, from a leadership perspective, especially given a similarity in community styles, closeness in regards to alliance to alliance workings, and other factors.
On a more broad note, both former alliances were experiencing similar problems facing the end results of Guns & Roses while being members in the Hollywood bloc. Error 404 faced problems such as a decline in membership count, an exhausted bank and an increase in inactivity at the highest gov levels, while Children of the Light had similar problems in the membership count as well as overall activity. Both alliances broke ground and merge talks were initially courted by Kev.
Discussions went beyond expectations with mutual connections made between both alliances counter parts, with notable cooperation in particular with His Holy Decagon, Mathias Sven, and Keegoz. Notable alliance names besides Cataclysm, also included Apocolypse, We Like Art, My Little Pony, and Umbrella Corp. While a majority of High Gov+ voted for Apocolypse, Cataclysm was decided upon, as well as the alliances flag, designed by none other than Pika.
Prior to going paperless, both Error 404 and Children of the Light had an MDP, via The Ampersand; this MDP persisted through the merge, while Cataclysm went paperless.
