The Ashigaru (足軽 "light [of] foot") are the basic infantrymen of the Amenrian army in the Politics & War Roleplay Universe.
Description[]
Clad in their ornate steel armor and wielding powerful semi-automatic rifles, the Ashigaru are terrifying foes and their devotion to God and the Emperor is unyielding. Thanks to their equipment, they are more durable and have greater firepower than most foreign basic infantry. Amenrian combat doctrine dictates that rifleman should emphasize on armour and firepower rather than rate of fire, thus semi-automatic rifles are used as standard issue for basic Amenrian soldiers. As they were so quick to train, they could be deployed in sufficient numbers to overwhelm enemy infantry by attrition, particularly early in a conflict.
