Aqua War, also known as Antarctic Expedition Part 2, is a micro war that started November 2nd, 2023, when Antarctica Alliance countered spy attacks from The Coal Mines by declaring war counters on TCM nations conducting spy attacks with the reason "Legal Antarctic Counter in Response to Spy Attack", which led to TCM beginning their attack of the Antarctica Alliance.
War Progression
Pre-War
Before the war started there were negotiations between The Coal Mines and the Antarctica Alliance on October 30th, during which TCM invited AA to their FA server to talk about TCM paying them $100 million to get off of the Aqua colour bloc, this invitation was rejected and then demands were made by AA to be paid and not move, after which TCM threatened war and launched spy attacks for about 3 days straight in preparation for war.
Beginning of the war
The Antarctica Alliance declared war on TCM nations conducting spy attacks, leading to TCM beginning their attack, beginning with attacking the counters then extending to all of AA, TCM then further issued an ultimatum for other alliances to get off of the Aqua Colour Bloc, which was followed with Antarctica Alliance's allies The Commonwealth, Nations of Neutrality and Mercenaries of Orbis joining the war on Antarctica's side, with The Commonwealth openly admitting to hiring mercs from Arrgh, the Knights Templar and Brothers in Christ to their side.
Mid-War
Multiple smaller allies of the Aqua Coalition as well as others joined the war throughout, the Orbis Peace Organization supported the anti-Coal Mines coalition, unofficially joining the war as an ally of Nations of Neutrality on November 8 and officially on November 11.
On November 12th, Brotherhood Family, a TCM protectorate also joined the war under obligation of their protectorate terms to support TCM in protecting Aqua, counteracting some of the numbers stacked against their protector.
On November 14, the Mercenaries of Orbis were virtually taken out of the war due to a concurrent conflict between them and Aurora which led to them being blitzed by Aurora's training alliance Borealis and ally The Enterprise, triggering MoO to merge with The Commonwealth and killing their involvement in the war.
On November 15th, The Shrekolytes joined the war in support of their allies at the OPO and NoN, declaring their intentions on the Orbis Bulletins System, just 2 days before the war would end.
Late-War/Peace Deal
On November 17, 2023, after more than 2 weeks of war, the 2 sides agreed to a treaty that would see Antarctica Alliance receive $100 million, TCM receive 420.69 tons of coal from each opposing alliance excluding NoN, and the nano coalition (Excepting TSKY and TcW, located on Brown and Green respectively) move from Aqua to Purple. Nations of Neutrality separately agreed with TCM to not pay the coal and to not receive the $100m which TCM offered.
Both sides claimed victory in the aftermath of the war; TCM had gotten the nano coalition off Aqua, their original goal, but the nano coalition managed to inflict crushing monetary damage to The Coal Mines.
