Abelis

Abelis or Ábelis, officially República Liberada de Abelis (Liberated Republic of Abelis in English) it's a communist republic made up of ten federal provinces and one autonomous city in southeastern South America. It's governed by the State Leader Riuzun Shine.

Each province is taken as a separate provincial state, which has autonomy and integrates the entire country as a federation. The provinces can enact laws, have their own constitution (called ''Constituciones provinciales'' or ''Provincial constitutions''), flag and rulers, although in practice they function as ministers of Riuzun Shine. The capital, Solicis, is an autonomous city which functions practically the same as a province, but the constitution is the same as that of Abelis, known as ''Constitución Superior'' or ''Superior Constitution''.

Abelic Diplomacy Policy[]

Abelis has an extreme peace policy known internally as the "Abelic Diplomacy Policy" which dictates that the country won't declare war on anyone else and will try to remain in peace and on good terms. The country also haven't remorse with nations that have done negative actions for Abelis. The army, as well as the soldiers and it's senior officials, are often discriminated against in the country and normally carry out security work due to Abelis' zero military activity.

Government[]

The Abelis government is a peaceful, representative, federal and republican democracy, regulated by the Superior Constitution.

The government has authority over the entire extension of Abelis's territory, but each province is self-governing and no state intervention is necessary. Solicis has an autonomy similar to that of a province and is the main center of Abelis, where the most important government institutions are located.

Elections are held in the nation every 5 years (in theory, because in-game Riuzun Shine -me- is a permanent leader) and any party that meets the minimum requirements to govern can be presented.

Claims and Controversies[]

Despite the permanent peace that Abelis shows towards the outside world, internal affairs seem to show another reality. There are many newspapers who claim that the government doesn't accept the opinions of others and that there's a lot of authoritarianism about freedom of the press, sometimes taking away political rights from those who don't follow the policies of the nation.

This has harmed the country's foreign relations, and the Foreign Minister says they're doing everything to fix that small blemish on their image, especially when countries like Uruguay and Argentina use it to attack Abelis' sovereignty. In any case, the abelic government is very sincere, honest and benevolent. Much of the newspapers and magazines that comment on these things have right-wing or militarist-oriented ideologies. Rights are a fundamental unit that any inhabitant should have, as well as help, protection and security. There isn't right in Abelis that is attacked.

History[]

The ancient history of Abelis begins in 1960, when the municipality of Berazategui was founded. Abelia, an old town, decides to join the municipality as a town of it. By 1988 Abelia changed it's name to the current one, Abelis, and after several disputes, marches and protests the municipality of Abelis was created. Still, the inhabitants of Abelis planned to go beyond a simple municipality.

For about 4 years there was no turmoil in that area, but in 1992 the protests returned, without achieving much. In 2003, with Argentina in a major economic recession, Abelis took the opportunity to get more autonomy. For a few hours Abelis was able to unilaterally proclaim itself as an independent state, but the government sent soldiers to the area to calm things down. The abelics, faithful followers of the peaceful policies that reign in the country today, did everything possible to prevent the military from entering throwing boiling water, furniture and pieces of glass. After all, and with the immense effort put forth by the inhabitants, the military devastated the municipality, killing about 23 people. That was a gigantic scandal for the country, and many inhabitants of Buenos Aires and the rest of the provinces were moved by the situation of Abelis.

Long-Awaited Fundation[]

18 years later, in 2021, after many treaties and discussions that gave Abelis autonomy and independence (almost becoming a province after a visit by officials from both states), Abelis would finally become a country and would quickly become a country. endorsed by the international community. There is only one country that does not recognize Abelis, Uruguay, which rejected abelics petitions multiple times and was a great detest of Abelis's release from the beginning.

Economy[]

Abelis' economy is sustained mainly by the sale of refined oil, aluminum and ammunition, which give it a good base and allow it to invest and improve the country, but in contrast there is a constant deficiency of bauxite and lead, something similar to what it happened to food before Abelis founded the Mass Irrigation project. On the other hand, the abelic economy is very open and favors central left politics.
